Toran Resort

As will all GTDC resorts, the location rocks. That is the best that can be said about this resort. The facilities are not maintained at all... Most of the cottages are out of order.The resort is closest to Kala Dungar. The people managing did not seem too interested in the upkeep.

just ok. this is a small resort near the white rann adjecent to the tent city. location is great but the resort itself is not too great. the food is just average . the feel is small and unkept. avoidable unless u have no choice

Very pathetic resort. Resort owner is very rude. We had booked the resort 6 months before and there was some change in dates which was confirmed my Make my trip and we received the revised booking voucher. Ideally this is hotel responsibility to coordinate and confirm the booking with MMT ( Make My Trip). We reached the resort at 6.30 pm and we were denied the check in saying that MMT had not confirmed the booking to hotel. We had to spend whole night in car as there was no other resort within 60 km radius. This was a nightmare for us. Also, the room quality was very bad, washroom was stinking, no wager in bathroom. This resort should be blacklisted from all travel sites. Our entire trip was spoiled due to this episode.

We could never stay at this place coz when we got there, place was closed, there was only one employee at entire property who told us the place is closed. We called Yatra, they spoke to Hotelier and told us they are shifting us to another place. Connected with Hotelier, he said that original booked place has lot of animals including snakes so he is giving us another better place. Finally going to this place, we found out this place was 35 kms away from original place, in middle of no civilization, owner told us they are not open yet, on speaking to hotelier and yatra again, we figured out we were on our own and none of these guys were willing to do anything, we asked for a refund, none were ready to give... We took the place, one of shittest place we have ever stayed in our life with frogs jumping on our bed all night, none of us could sleep, no power, water only for an hour, no soap, no drinking water... Needless to say, inspite of booking the place for two nights, we checked out the very next day. Yatra.com is probably in need of donation so they can keep the money... The room which we were given, owner told us if booked directly, it is Rs 800, for which Yatra has charged us about Rs 6900... Most horrifying experience was when we were about to leave, 6-7 surrounded our car and said unless we gave 1500 cash to them, they will not let us leave the place... Name of the owners of the place is Yusuf - 82385 16024 and Vijay Soni - 98986 29858 Thanks to yatra.com for such a horrible experience! Word of caution - Never use yatra.com and never book Toran Resort ever, go there, you will much better resorts in less than half the price, people are not tech savy yet so dont know how to put those properties up online but for what Yatra charges 4500, directly you can get for 1500

Good property to visit along with your Friends. Its on the Hill road that leads to Kalo Dungar. We were a group of 12 friends who stayed at this place in which 2 families were also there. We faced a very dangerous scenario when one of the family checked in the Camp, a Snake was found in the Camp. Though the snake was quite small and the resort staff killed it, we all had a sleepless night. Also there was no guard or security personnel's guarding the Resort in spite of we visiting during peak time (30 Dec16, Kutch Festival and New Years). I personally would not recommend this Resort for families specially with small Children. The resort staff was courteous enough and food was also good. Kalo Dungar is hardly 5kms from this Resort.
