The property as such is very well maintained one but there were a few causes for concern. Firstly, although our room was well equipped, there was no supply of hot water. Also the options were very few. Apart from these our stay was very good, the hotel is very well located, right near the market. Also the staff members were friendly.

Mr. Zuber and his team went out of the way to ensure we had a good time. All permits were kept ready before departure. The construction work of the extra wing is a big disruption. Lot of dust cos of that. Food quality needs to be improved. Once again, very nice staff but facilities need improvement

located a bit away from main market with a scenic beauty around. well decorated rooms and on its way of upgrading to a 5 star hotel. present facilities are awesome. food quality and quantity are excellent and more than adequate respectively. The reception personnel were very co-operative , helpful in advise. in one word, a complete homely atmosphere. i would advise review seekers to opt for this hotel without any dilemma. and of-course... free WiFi available ;)

Hotel Gawaling is a home away from home, its not a posh prperty but has the warmth required to visit ladakh. Ladakh is not a pleasure tour, rather its a hectic and a tough one. But the staff in the hotel made it feel n look easier for us, specifically Mr. Zuber and Mr. Ramesh. Their guidelines were very much required for the ten days in ladakhi terrain. Catering staffs r too good, their names would be etched in our hearts, Sagar, Vijendra to name a few. Overall it was a pleasant experience with you guys. all of you make this hotel a wonderful place to stay, it was a home away from home for us. Saying thank u would be too less to express our gratitude.

Decent hotel to stay in Leh. A bit away from the main market. Rooms are clean and basic facilities like hot water and clean washrooms are taken care of. Choose the bigger rooms i.e. 306 or 406 which are bigger and better than most of the other rooms in the hotel. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation/expansion, so expect some construction noise in the morning post 10am, if you are staying back at the hotel for the day. The food options are good and cooked well. Overall an average stay at this hotel. If you get or choose the big rooms i.e. 306 or 406, the view from the balcony is great and the rooms are very spacious.

I was travelling to Ladakh with my family through Kaustubh Tours and were made to stay in this horrible hotel called Gawaling International..First impression of this hotel seems very friendly and supportive but soon we were well versed with all their service standards.My mom and me were sharing one room. As part of tour package the next day we were out for local sightseeing with all our unpacked baggage in room. I deposited my room keys at the reception to Hotel manager (Ramesh). But as we came back in the evening Hotel staff were not ready to give back my room keys..they kept saying keys were never deposited..or you might have lost them..after a long argument with Ramesh..finally they said our room had some leakage issue hence we have moved your luggage to a new room. They actually moved my unpacked luggage to a new room in my absence without my permission. HIGHLY UNEXCEPTABLE !!! secondly when i asked him to show what the leakage problem was they kept on denying..after some long heated argument with Ramesh, he finally said the problem was rectified and the room is given to some other occupant. After a long time we realised as we investigated the matter in detail, the room was given to one of his relative. They threw our luggage out to accommodate their relatives preference.. This is what they did with two lady travellers..highly irresponsible behaviour..Terrible approach with lady travellers.

Demo Trip Please take room preferably in 1st floor (as oxygen density is lower and no lift hence staying 1st floor is comfortable)
