The hotel is very conveniently located near the centre of Leh, which is about a 5 minute walk. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. However, the rooms I stayed in had no air-conditioning (not really needed at that altitude) but were stuffy because they needed ceiling or pedestal fans in August as Leh was hot at that time. We had to leave the door and windows open to get fresh air but were disturbed in the night by a pack of dogs that regularly started a cacophony of barking from the adjacent vacant property when sleeping in the north-facing rooms. It is not the hotel's fault but something needed to be done about that. The single lift was slower than a snail and continuously played the theme song from the "Titanic" movie which gave the impression of plunging to our doom whenever it went down. That was really annoying. There was no bar, so forget about having any alcoholic drinks, which was quite surprising because even remote tent camps in Ladakh either had beers or would get them for you. The food was very tasty and I enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners. Overall, it was a good place to stay in Leh.
