hospitality, cleanliness and food gets an A+
The hotel is very conveniently situated at the heart of Lonavala market. Although we took some time to locate the hotel, the hotel staff was courteous enough to guide us with the landmarks. One can see a lot of traffic outside the hotel road specially on weekends. Also the road taking us to the hotel was not well maintained and had potholes due to monsoons. The Hotel has no covered parking but has space to park about 10 cars, just in front of its entrance. Anytime we came down, we saw that the car moved locations. The staff was reasonably helpful. However they need more lively staff. The person at the reception gave us some good advice on planning for the dinner as we wanted to have non veg and the hotel only serves veg food. We booked an a/c deluxe double room. The room was well maintained. It had a very good LCD TV, good airconditioner and a very weird sofa. Room size was comparitively bigger. The taps and flush were working. The bathroom was compact but could have been much cleaner. We did not order anything from the room service. We had Gujrathi Thali for lunch. Food was pretty good . Service was fast. They even served ice cream for dessert. Breakfast was complimentary and was awesome with loads of variety. Overall, the hotel is a good option for the budget traveller and weekend stays for a couple.
Hotel was decent there was not much options of food. Room was not spacious.
I liked everything about this hotel including the location- just 0.2 km from Lonavala bus stand & 0.5km from railway station (there is a short cut where you can actually walk to the hotel in 10 mins).
Value for Money.

Me and my fiance had visited lonavala in the month of august for a overnight trip..We selected this hotel for our stay .The hotel is situated in the heart of lonavala but it is far from railway station 20 mins walking distance..The staff is very cooperative. .We reached their by 10.30 and in 15 mins we got the keys..Rooms are quite small but it's comfortable..The ac in the room was leaking but when I complain the staff immediately repaired it so no problem their..Overall a fantastic experience!!
Location - Right in the market. Walkable distance from wax museum, video games parlour, MacD etc. Zero view from Windows. Service - Excellent, very polite staff. I had booked Executive room & was given deluxe room. When complained, room was quickly changed. Room - Clean, good size - big bed & sofa cum bed. Food - THE plus point. Amazing thali with variety of Gujrati food items. Recreation - Only carrom in small backyard corridor. Overall - Good one night stay with family for food & nearby attractions.
I have visited this hotel in November 2016, the experience was overwhelming.. hotel was so clean, hotel interior was pleasant..all d staffs are so co operative.the breakfast was delicious...n d best dal khichdi i ever had... Overall , Nice Experience above d expectations...
Had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Chandralok in monsoon of 16. Overall the stay was OK with good value for money; however they had their list of pros and cons which are listed below. Pros: Very precisely located - just opposite to Lonavala bus stop and 8-10 mins. walk from Lonavala station, good vegetarian thali, seemingly good and helpful staff, neat rooms, decent complimentary breakfast Cons: Complimentary breakfast could have had more items to choose from, thali prices slightly on the higher side, making it more suitable for a one time affair only. However, my main issue which basically stems from my own experience was with their tie-ups with drivers/ vehicles for sightseeing. For a hotel, which had a seemingly helpful and courteous staff to help make the visitors stay memorable, they had atrocious tie up with sightseeing vehicles. We ended up with a driver, who had no clue of customer service, he could easily pass off as a goon. They had a tour of 5 hours for Rs. 1400. Unfortunately, much of it spent in showing pointless tourist points which no one visits and kept the main points like Tiger point, bushy dam for later. Obviously, Rs. 350/- per additional hour after the stipulated 5 hrs seemed to be the motivation factor. In fact, our driver even guided us falsely, by showing some deserted wax museum, calling it as the best one in Lonaval. What a sham !!! Not only was it at a higher cost, it hardly had any wax statues, parting us with some valuable time as well as money. The best one - Sunil's Wax museum was just few mins. walk from our hotel - A fact, he conveniently chose to hide from us. Should have done more research. It needed some stern intervention to "force" the driver to take us to the main points, pissing him off even further. Literally our entire 5 hours was a harrowing experience with him constantly nagging for something or the other, ensured that we ended our trip with him prematurely. I would request Hotel Chandralok management to take due diligence in choosing the right tie ups with drivers and tourist vehicles and also take as much interest and in the overall sightseeing experience for their customers, because essentially, that is what tourists come to Lonavala in first place. Having said that, I wouldn't mind staying at Chandralok again, however, sightseeing with their drivers, definitely NOT!!!
Awesome Food, Excellent hospitality, Very hygienic, Co-operative staff, very friendly kitchen staff and service staff. Very convenient location near bus stand and close to market but good location for a outing. Personal attention by manager's and front office desk.
