I've stayed in a lot of places, hotels and hostels around the world. I can honestly say this is one of the worst, and the attitude of the staff is one of disdain for tourists, overcharging as much as they can get away with. They are a terrible example of the attitude of some who prey on people they think don't know the country. I stayed here for one night (only a few hours really) before I was due to fly from the airport. Ended up spending half an hour haggling as the staff was quoting a ridiculous tariff (he saw I was a tourist and tried colluding with my rickshaw driver to make a quick buck). I would have gone to a different hostel if I knew the area better, I think sleeping on the street may have been a better alternative. I hope the owner/ man I spoke to on the desk realises one day how short-sighted it is to try and con a customer.
