Good Property Good Property

We had visited this place for 2 nights against Country Club vacation arrangements. The location is slightly inside Khandala and a bit difficult to locate but has sprawling areas inside. They have lot of space inside with huge ground area, water body and some recreational activities like badminton etc. The main wing is attached to the reception with upto 2nd Floor hotel rooms, and one more wing about 200 meters away facing the water body and hills. In terms of privacy and view the second type rooms are definitely better , but in terms of room quality main building is better. We were initially accommodated in the far side wing for the first day. There was some leakage in the toilet and the TV's were not working due to some technical fault. However next day we were shifted after lot of request to the main building where rooms are not only spacious but better equipped with a small fridge and micro oven. The artificial water body has facilities of pedal boat ride and one fixed boat which can be used as restaurant on special occasions. There is a lawn inside the pond accessed through a bridge. They have a small swimming pool also. The restaurant is small and is in the main building.Though they have non vegetarian menu but in the restaurant they allow only veg food to consume. For having non veg food they have a small room adjacent to restaurant or order for room service.. awkward arrangement. The manager Mr Selvyn is very nice and cooperative, Overall an excellent property which needs a little improvement in maintenance and service.

I spent two nights at this resort on Diwali and the day after. The staff was courteous and friendly. Being a lone woman traveller, however, I was a little piqued that they offered no pick up late in the evening. he restaurant food was also pretty good. The staff is young and they need to become a little more professional in terms of guest relations. No compliants otherwise.

A resort that could do better A resort that could do better

We were 7 families(all friends) with kids who visited the resort for a one night stay. Location- ======= The resort is a bit off the main road (5-10 minutes) from the khandala railway station and some signs would help. It was raining when we went there and the whole area looked lovely. The resort has 2 wings, around 100 metres or so apart. One where Country Club members are put up and the main wing. It is recommended to stay in the main wing. Check in - ======= There is a small lobby, however the staff processes check in pretty quickly so thats not a problem. But the room allocation took a couple of hours to sort out (details below). Rooms - ====== We had booked 7 rooms, one for each family. However the hotel tried to pull a fast one on us. We were first allotted rooms on the first floor of the 2 storey structure. Each regular room is nice and spacious, having a balcony and bathroom attached. There is another type of room which has a smaller room attached to a bigger room. This smaller room does not have a balcony. The door to the room from the passage is sealed and hence can be accessed only from the main bedroom. They tried to put 2 families into one such room-although they charged us for 2 independent rooms on the first floor. When we protested we were allotted separate rooms however we were unable to get all rooms on the same floor, which is what the kids wanted. One room had the balcony above the kitchen with lots of smoke and smell wafting into the room which rendered the room unusable. The other did not have lights working. So 2 families shifted to the 2nd floor. Here too, one of the bathrooms had a smell which lasted for the entire time we were there. We also had to get the area outside the rooms cleaned on the 2nd floor. Some of the rooms face the pool and some the rear side. If you have a room facing the rear, better to be on the 2nd floor. Funnily enough even the keys with the staff did not open some of the rooms. The grounds - ============ There is a huge lawn for weddings, a swimming pool, a boat shaped restaurant on the large pond / artificial lake on premises which was was closed in the monsoon and another lawn with an artificial waterfall. There's a small gym and game room with carrom and chess etc. Nice and pleasant, though not very large. Food ==== We had an all meals package as it was raining all the time. The food was ok some soups and dishes were good. Service ======= The service was decent and the staff did the best they could. Checkout ======= Their credit card machine or link wasn't working and we had to scrounge around for the remaining amount in cash. All in all- If they pull up their socks, a good place for weekend stays.

It is a very beautiful resort. Its a great place to spend time with your family. They have swimming pool and provide outdoor games. Rooms are spacious and reception/service people were polite. Try to get your room in main building as in other building construction is going on. View from front facing rooms are good. Food was also decent. It is slightly out of the city. there are no shops or eateries near to the resort. In the morning you can take a long walk on the road it will take about 45 mins to reach to market, or you can take an auto (Rs 100) which will take around 10mins. For sight seeing we had taken cab from countryclub agent, and during the trip he kept insisting that trip is of only 4 to max 5 hours. For extra hour he said Rs 100 will be charged which annoyed us as he completed the trip in very short time of 5 hrs. Next day we took an auto for sight seeing for whole day. Auto was slow compared to car on road but you will enjoy all those views that you see thru the auto. Auto guy was explaining every thing like a true guide.

Stayed in mystica resort with my family during dussehra holidays. Nice and well maintained property spread across acres of land. The greenery is at its best and it provides aesthetic beauty to the place. We stayed here for 2 days. Rooms were neat and well maintained. Food was awesome. Staffs were so helpful and really appreciate their service. It is a wonderful place to relax and to have a great time with family. Got a much needed break from busy work schedule. Thank you Mystica for such a wonderful hospitality.
