This hotel is certainly past its prime for sure. Must have seen good days in its early age. Shows a bit of signs of aging . But that is it. Once you step in the staff tries to make your stay as comfortable as they can to the best of their abilities. Everyone is service oriented in this place. The location is good if you have business in and around City. Commute from Airport and from Charbagh Rly station is also easy in a way considering the Lucknow Traffic. The rooms are clean and well furnished. I was surprised at the wooden flooring and the flat screen TV in the room with lots of variety for Channels. The bathroom was like a regular 2-3 star hotel look. Separate shower cubicle, no bath tub though. Good for business traveller as well as those on vacation of family. Safe , convenient and nice neighbourhood. I felt it is little overpriced though on the current state where some facilities willl be better with refurbishing.
It is ok if you have to spend one night stay during a business visit. The Housekeepers cart was parked right in front of my room door and the same was very dirty. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also very superficial.

It's was my birthday and what a place to celebrate it... i was there about 17-18 years ago and the place still mesmerized me, remembering all the childhood days cooperative staff, ample parking space which is rare in nainital, pick n drop service to mall road, peaceful and awesome environment... buffet food was like awesome... n Yes i would like to stay here again :) thank u for making my birthday awesome Vist date: 21/06/2016
The USP of this hotel is the big spacious rooms and the Discotheque. Very comfortable heating in the rooms make it very convenient stay. The room service is quick and the staff is well trained. Restaurant service is slow and the meals were not very delicious. The activities within the hotel like pool etc should be complimentary. The TT room is quite congested with hardly any space for playing. Shuttle service to the Mall road is well managed.
Located in mallital, this hotel offers great hospitality services... I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and was highly satisfied with the room cleanliness and decor. The food was just ok and they need to improve on this aspect... This hotel has a sports room and spacious lobby... Highly recommended...
On a first ever visit to the hill station of Nainital, this hotel was suggested as the choice to stay by friends. Not exactly being familiar with the town and it's layout I accepted it as it had reasonable reviews. The road trip from New Delhi took nearly 7 hours in a comfortable Toyota. The last one hour however was a steep climb up the Himalayan foothills. Arriving in town close to 8 pm, most streets had a bit of a deserted look. The air was crisp and clean - a very welcome change from the winter smog of Delhi. The winding town road led past the high court towards the hotel. The final climb was through a narrow steep road where it did not seem possible for more than one vehicle to drive through barring an occasional scooter squeezing past. The parking space in front of the hotel was flat and spacious. The folks at the well lit gate were warm in greetings and check in was fairly quick. I opted for the suite which was only available at the lower level. The passages were well lit and clean. The keys to room were old fashioned with no touch pad. Inside all lights came on once the key card was inserted into the slot. The TV was in the entry room which had 2 single beds. The inner room, separated by a wooden screen had a comfortable queen sizes bed. The bathroom was clean however the toiletries looked cheap and towels somewhat worn out - not the newer fluffy types. Later at night we discovered that the only heating was via a water radiator - kind in older New York apartments - which had no controls on the room. When asked, the hotel informed that no additional heaters were available. They did, however provide extra blankets on request. For a suite, just one radiator heater was surely not enough with outside temperature in the single digits however it was reasonably ok with an extra layer of clothing and warm covers. Being outside the main town, the only way to visit is a shuttle from the hotel or a taxi ride that can charge anywhere from Rs. 100-150 each way. It's only a 1.5 km distance and one can probably walk one way. Coming back would however entail a steep uphill climb in the cold and not advisable at night. Both dinner (buffet) and breakfast at the hotel was reasonable in quality and variety. Outside the dining room a fire was lit for people to keep warm. The inside is definitely warmer with radiant heat lamps. There's no wifi or internet in the rooms however available in the lobby area. The hotel has a small gym and had a live band playing near the dining hall however the quality of Bollywood style music left much to be desired. The beds were comfortable and overall it was a good night's sleep. The stone floor and stone table tops made sure a lot of surfaces were very cold to the touch. No newspapers are delivered to the room and morning tea arrives in tiny serving sizes, only upon request. A lower floor room stays cool even despite the warm sunshine of the morning and to catch a view of the pines, deodhars and to breathe in the pristine blue skies, one needs to step outside.
wonderful experience. pros 1.new well maintained building and spotlessly clean 2.bon fire with complementary dinner and breakfast and live singers 3.decked up beautifully on chritmas 4.disco-though of local standards is good for enjoyment 5.use of gym complementary 6 multiple play areas for children-one near the eating area is quite useful to keep children busy 7.beautiful view 8.modern fixtures 9.very big and spacious rooms with small balconies cons-mostly none 1.steep approach
