Service with a smile- I guess the team here has mastered it ... front desk, house keeping and restaurant included!! Breakfast is awesome though can't understand why fruits aren't a part of it ... standard room has a vague matchbox design with very small windows! You wouldn't mind any lapse as you would be amidst greenery in a village like atmosphere!!
This property is awesome, very calm and serene. Lots of sports activities. As a family with kids, surely the right place to be in. However, it is sad that the team is not trained on how to be hospitable to guests. I booked through an online travel portal and had mentioned that my kid does not need an additional bed but we were willing to pay for buffet breakfast. I guess there was some gap in communication between the portal and the hotel. While I was checking in, the person at the reception did not accept even though I said I would pay for breakfast. After a while, when we boarded the battery operated car to go to our room, he came out and once again asked us about the additional charge when we were about to proceed for check in. This is nothing but harassment. Hope they will correct it.
We travel regularly and every time, we inform the front office that we do not need a separate bed and that we will bear the breakfast charge. But this hotel does not know how to treat customers. The attitude of the person needs to be corrected. I would like to compliment Mr Jeffery, the F&B manager, who was very kind to us and provided excellent service. If at all we go back to that hotel, it is only because of Mr Jeffrey. Otherwise, it is a lovely place to be in. Slightly away from the city but worth it.
Visited 16th Jan 2017 with family- 2 young kids, stayed in a suite room, charged 9000 rs- room was good, but floors are quite slippery, my son 2 years old fell down about 10 times and my daughter 3 times- high risk of injury. The hot water was not working. Despite informing housekeeping, no response for many hours, had to shower in the cold water. After informing the reception again at dinner time, a person was sent. Then the issue was sorted before bed time. There was no hot water in the jacuzzi. Told by the housekeeping team to get hot water in the bucket and pour into the jacuzzi. The towels were wet ( not sure whether they were used- disgusting) and asked for replacement.
Pool was good, no good rooms with pool view- Children Pool was filled with mango tree flowers- disposed head caps- not chlorinated, no water treatment. The water tank splashing water from the top is unsafe for children- as the water is cold, metal floor is slippery. Pool is also open to people coming for day picnic- no need for swim dress.
Outdoor activities are good, only if you come as a group.
If you don't have your own transport, have to eat in the restaurant, which is very expensive and has the same menu for lunch and dinner.
We visited some other rooms- which were not good at all, poorly maintained- not sure whether they were just vacated.
Gave an extensive feedback on vacating- was told I will be contacted by the management team- I will update in a week about the response.
In short- overtly priced, poorly managed resort. Dont go there, just by browsing the web or seeing the pics- appearances are deceptive- speak to people who have visited there before about your expectations and the reality. Our experience was disappointing.

I visited with a group of 22 people on an office trip. The resort is within an hour and a half drive of Chennai. A right from ECR towards Thriukazhukundram and you reach this place. The resort is large, the rooms are good, lots of greenery around, a swimming pool, gym, multiple conference rooms, huge lawns, a cricket ground, basketball court...The food was also quite good.
The problems are in the maintenance of the place. I and a colleague got a room which was newly built. However, the TV wasn't working, the phone wasn't working, there was no kettle, the curtains had black hand marks on them. When we brought this to their notice, they tried to get it all working, failed and offered to change the room. This one was better in that there was a working TV, phone and kettle. However there were no curtain rods or curtains! This they remedied by bring the dirty curtains from the room they offered to us before! There was no hot water in the bathroom.
The property was beautiful for long walks in the morning. Did not use the swimming pool as there was some algae. The breakfast was supposed to be served at 8 am but they started laying out the buffet only after we went there. On the second day, another group arrived and there was no place or food to serve the combined crowd! For dinner, however, each group was accommodated separately in different lawns.
Free wifi was available. Each day a different password valid for 24 hours was given out to each guest. (For one device only!!)
They have battery operated vehicles to ferry you from the room to the restaurant or the lawn. We preferred to walk since it was green and serene.
Better housekeeping will make a huge difference in the rating I give this property.
