Just two days back we stayed here.
It is a small hotel, with no fancy stuff or frills attached. It is located at walking distance from the famous Shore Temple, restaurants, shopping and nearby beach.
The rooms were well-maintained, receptionist were not the most helpful but very courteous, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean but no soap holders or no hooks for clothes (even in the room), and the air-conditioning worked well.
Since we visited soon after a cyclone, the roof top restaurant was damaged and under reconstruction.
We did not check for wi-fi working or not, as the mobile connectivity was more than enough.
Mahabalipuram, being a tourist attraction, comes with a price tag.
Resorts provide a fancy high-end retreat, but are steeply priced. However, if you are looking for a decent hotel on a budget, this is a good choice.
We stayed here on our family holiday in Dec 2016. It is a small-time hotel, with no fancy stuff or frills attached. It is located at walking distance from the famous Shore Temple and nearby beach. We were 7 adults, and were accomodated in 3 rooms. The rooms were well-maintained, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and the air-conditioning worked well. We had booked a package which included the room, meals, and site-seeing in a private vehicle with a tour guide. Since we visited soon after a cyclone, the amenities were not fully functional. The wi-fi wasnt working, and the roof-top restaurant was badly damaged. However, the manager was very proactive and tried his best to ensure our comfort. Food was arranged from a restaurant nearby, and he worked extra hard to provide us with the amenities they would normally provide to their guests. I was impressed by his commitment. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Just two days back we stayed. Honestly speaking, there are lot of others properties with same amenities we can find with low price. Charging more than 2000 plus taxes for a standard Ac room, they didn't even include complimentary breakfast. Which is very disappointed.
Television is good but the cable connection makes worse. They should have provided dish connection which is very common now a days in most of the houses.
Coming to the room, beds are nice and good air conditioning provided. If you planned to have food inside, you will not find tables to eat.
Room was neat, bed was cozy and stay was comfortable. We were disappointed that the restaurant was damaged due to the recent cyclone. We were eager to check out the roof top restaurant. Missed it. Otherwise it was all fantastic.
as we went with family 2 adults 2 children we got room having one double bed and one single bed in 2000 rupees. Room was little congested. but bed were good. Room had ac, free wi-fi and TV. TV pictures were not clear. and after 5-6 hours wifi did not work. May be for 1500 rupees it would have been good deal.
