We visited the property for a weekend stay and stayed at one of the sea facing rooms. The hotel is huge with a lot to do on the property itself. From surfing to riding ATVs to swimming in the pool that scales the length of the hotel. Restaurant by the beach had amazing sea food and an amazing view.
The resort is beautiful in every way. Once you enter the huge property you fall in love with the surroundings. Blue and green never looked better. The swimming pools are lovely and give the resort a charm of its own. If you are looking for a romantic or group getaway, this is an excellent alternative for Goa.
The rooms are beautifully done and the washrooms are large and clean. The sea view villas are magnificent and offer breathtaking views of the sea. My favourite would be the luxurious villas with private pool. The rooms are opulent and you have a private outdoor jacuzzi along with the pool. It doesn't get better than this!
Luxury resort in a beautiful setting - over 70 beachfront acres of walkways, lush landscaping, and one of the largest and most beautiful meandering pools we have ever seen at a resort. There is also an infinity pool at the beach.
Our first room was large and beautiful on the most incredible and blue meandering pool with a built-in out-door lounge chair pool side and a large patio on the park side. We then upgraded to a luxurious large detached casita/villa overlooking the beach and ocean. Beautiful furnishings and the largest bathroom we have ever had. It had two large rooms -- the second one had a screened and glass ceiling, multi-jetted jacuzzi and separate large shower. Both rooms had multiple bathroom items like shaving kit, comb, dental kit, sewing kit, etc.
Activities included complimentary internet, bicycles and touring, catamaran ride, jet skis, 9 hole putting green, kids play area, at least two different huge activity buildings, table tennis, archery, air hockey, beach volley ball, basket ball, a giant outdoor chess set that looked like sculpture. It also had a complete spa and fitness center.
Huge breakfast and dinner buffets, multiple restaurants all over the property, and an attentive and well trained staff. Incredible shopping on property.
In other words, we absolutely loved it.
Sitting on its own large private beach & impressive grounds this hotel would be fine for an extended stay. Besides the ocean there is a huge pool extending down the middle of the property with scenic bridges crossing from side to side. Other accomodations require a golf cart assist but offer villas with imposing sea views. The restaurant in the main part of the hotel offers delicious food but the open air restaurant near the beach should not be missed for its wonderful food & balmy breezes. The bartenders try hard to please & remember your drink order from previous evenings. There is also an impressive gift shop off the lobby so shopping is simplified.
I was extremely disappointed in my stay. The lack of scheduling flexibility was my first issue. My flight plans changed which made it so that I needed to leave for Chennai at 10pm on the same day that I checked in at around 4pm. I had no need for the room for only 6 hours, but the staff did not even consider allowing me to cancel my reservation or modify it in any way, so I ended up paying full price for a room i was in for maybe a total of 1.5 hours. I understand if it is your policy to not allow changes or cancellations, but the complete lack of empathy or even pretending to give any consideration was really disappointing especially for such a huge hotel that clearly wasn't going to be greatly affected by one room. If that was the only issue I would have been OK. However, the one thing we wanted to room for was access to internet, and for the first hour we were in the room there was no internet connectivity. I called the front desk and they told me the internet was fine and it was my fault. An hour later I went to the front desk and spoke to the IT person and they said that the internet had needed to be reset (as i suspected). OK, so fine, if it was just the inflexibility and the internet I still wouldn't have been very disappointed. However, then, the last thing that we wanted to room for was to get some room service before we left for our overnight flight. The food came promptly and was terrible. The biryani was bland, the meat was tough, the naan was rubbery, and the salad was inedible. And then to top it all off, the check out took 17 minutes. We told them at 6pm that we were going to check out at 10pm, but it took about 15 minutes for them to send someone to the room to verify our minibar purchase and then update the bill. I tried to just leave 100Rs to cover the expense which was more than the box of cookies we took but that was too much for them to handle. Overall the stay was completely terrible. It felt like a 2 star hotel.
