Hotel Stay was good but the booking experience was a nightmare. i tried cancelling the booking 2 days in advance but both the hotel nor travelguru would refund the charges. while booking travelguru was very courteous but while cancellation they just dumped me so did the hotel. you could never reach the reservations through phone once they knew i was trying to cancel.

Cons: 1. For 3 mornings, i was eating the same breakfast. Barely any change in the menu. Long wait time on items to be replenished. They ran out of cold milk. 2. Paid for extra bedding at the time of booking. Extra bed was not ready at the time of checkin. Housekeeping then tried to arrange their Sofa-cum-bed (which was already broken). I asked it to be taken out of the room and instead a bedding be arranged. Next they came up with the mattress and put it on the floor which I asked to be picked up immediately. Next they brought in a cot which looked to me atleast 100 years old in a worn off condition. We just managed with that for the next three days. 3. One of the lunch I ordered in room dining, never sent the all the food items I ordered. 4. Biggest Blunder was with their in house hindi / english movie DVDs, guests can order and watch in their rooms. One of the DVD they provided had an XXX rated movie instead of the original hindi title I ordered. Its a shame, I had two kids with me during this holiday. Pros: 1. Resort - Amazing. 2. Room - Clean, not too big not too small. 3. Housekeeping - willing to help in their constraints. 4. Wharf - good. Waters Edge Cafe - Fine (Food could have been better. Buffet charges for 4 yr old kid as well??) Breakfast - good but monotonous 5. Inhouse games and other recreational facilities for kids. - Great!! 6. Easy access to beach which is great. 7. Staff: Polite & Courteous

Hotel location was perfect with wonderful surroundings. It is near to the beach. The room included amenities like refrigerator, TV and telephone. The bathroom had running hot/cold water. Only drawback is that the staff are not well trained. We ate the regular South Indian Veg food of idli-sambar.ular South Indian Veg food of idli-sambar.

Well maintained and cared for. You can tell the people who run this resort really do care about how it looks, how it's maintained and how much the customers are looked after. We felt welcome from the moment we entered and were presented with a shell necklace and a lovely refreshing drink. Our room was clean, spacious and well appointed. Our balcony looked out to the sea, although it was hidden by the palm trees we could still hear the waves crashing and catch glimpses of the sparkling blue waters. Staff were very helpful, the resort really caters for family's with activities for all ages. The breakfast was great and we all enjoyed the vast spread, not the mention the coffee. Our main criticism was the water front restaurant, Wharf 2.0, we were surprised at the menu choices and how complicated it seemed. We were told on entering that the kitchen was closing shortly but several guests came in after us and were served without an issue. All quite odd. The lunch we had was okay but nothing special. We would return to the resort but would not eat at the beach side restaurant.

Mamallapuram is a very small town with lots to see and do. There is much building-in-progress with all the expected rubble around! Radisson Blu stands out as an unusually clean and mostly completed establishment. This is a very large complex with buggy transport available for accommodation that is some distance from the reception and restaurant. Security appears to be reasonable. Our checking-in process was marred, with wrong accommodation assignment, by our tour guide but it was a very considerate Shoubhik (duty manager) who stepped-in to save the day! It was also he who monitored our stay to ensure my wife and my satisfaction. Congratulations to him. Our room (20) faced the sea and although large and comfortable had clearly seen better days. EG. A ceiling light hung loose and the bath panel was adrift (see photos) as well as much scuffing, however the facilities offered all that was required and the service admirable. The TV, viewed for only this review, offered hundreds of channels including a couple of English speaking - and those seen with good reception. Wi-Fi (included) was with a strong signal. The large balcony had two wooden rocking checks and small table - with brown staining/coating which came off onto our warm hands! There was an unusual damp feel to the room! Clearly the humidity played a part but we felt there was perhaps another issue, unexplained. Even the floor was dank. We were told to keep the a/c going continuously we did / it made no difference / no improvement / all very strange. The staff were generally most pleasant and helpful, particularly those in reception and the buggy drivers, it was only in the restaurant particularly at breakfast that the team let themselves down. Requests were often being ignored and a very lackadaisical attitude was demonstrated. Getting a cup of tea was a most tedious affair. Breakfast was in fact quite pan-demonicr with so many guests wanting so much attention and a general mayhem followed. The young lady on eggs and omelette duty bucked the trend and remained cheerful under some extreme pressure. We learned to time our breakfast to avoid the long busy period and got on a lot better. All-in-all probably Radisson Blu is one of the best choices in the area although this is just an opinion based on limited experience and one we overall enjoyed. It has a great pool just need a few more loungers!

Great location and good ambiance all over the resort. Expect warm and cordial service once you are inside the resort. Would have given excellent if not for electrical issues Food served is decent but quality of food doesn't match the exorbitant price

One hour , five phone calls from Europe and no possibility to finish a conversation with reservation. Every time disconnection or call misplaced. Appalling for a Radisson hotel which I have used in other country. Of course we chose anotehr hotel close by

Booked 40 rooms for a family event. All went well and a great hotel. However the checkin was delayed and I believe there needs to be a better process to improve checkin time. Otherwise a great hotel and good staff and hospitality. Will definitely go again.
