We have stayed at mayekars homestay at weekend..its location is very beautiful as it has sea facing rooms. Rooms are very clean and peaceful place.... care taker is very simple and helpful person...they will provide delicious breakfast if you order..must try modak and poha which is made by mayekar aunty.... for lunch and dinner veg and non veg options are available which was made by kambli aunty just beside the property.... she is a amazing cook once must try fish thali made by her.. i strongly recommend dont go anywhere for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. they will serve best food in resonable price with good quantity... nice people and great sea front view of this property will make your trip memorable... if we visit again to chivla beach will definetly stay at mayekars homestay.... It is very near to sindhudurg fort, tarkali beach, devabg beach.

Mayekar's Holiday was at prime location. The cleanliness of room was top class. Services provided on timely manner. Mr. Pandurang(care taker) was always available for any request. Food quality was great. You can get real Malvan style food at very reasonable rate. I would recommend to all guest who are planning to visit Malvan.

This place is humungous, decent and pretty close to the beach. Being close to the beach is the only major highlight of this home/holiday stay. Services are pretty decent and you can definitely enjoy the simple living.

This is basically a no frills basic homestay , located right on the Chivla beach. Pros: - Location is the major USP of this place. Right in front of Chivla beach, which is almost like a private beach stretch. - Very comfortable and big bed. - Clean rooms and area around the rooms. - Excellent breakfast. One must try the local dishes like Amboli Chatni, Ras Ghavne, Shevaya Ras. You need to let them know a night in advance about what you need at breakfast. -Very good service by care taker Pandurang. Cons/ Suggestions: - They should have a table in Blue room (although the room is small). All that the blue room has is a small cupboard and bed. - Wifi is shoddy. They provide Jio hotspot device . So if you need internet connection for some work, then the connectivity is not reliable. Things to know: - They do not provide meals. Although there is a mess from which the caretaker can arrange food , but that needs prior intimation. If you are vegetarian then restaurant 'Malvan Katta' provides lot of options. It is 4-5 mins walk from hotel. For non vegetarians there are many options including the famous 'Atithi Bamboo' which is at a distance of 10 mins walking. - It is better to call hotel and get confirmation of the booking. We booked Red rooms through MMT, but later got to know that the hotel owner had already sold red rooms to someone else before MMT notified the owner. We had to ultimately settle for Blue Room. - Go for red room, as they are bigger and has better decor. Blue rooms are smaller. I am posting pics of both types of rooms here. My take: I would certainly recommend this place to fellow travelers who are seeking some good time close to nature and for their wonderful breakfast.
