We stayed in this hotel just after Diwali 2016 for 3 nights. It was surprisingly good.
The room felt a little damp, though clean. The service was good. Food taste was good. The room had all the basic amenities, and gave us no chance to complain. The room is big. Bathroom was good and no problem with hot water. It was a comfortable stay. The breakfast had limited choices, but okay. Staff is courteous.
The parking space is small. The markings are wrong! One car can just fit in, no space to get in or out. My car got scratched because the person who had parked next to me opened the doors against my car. Some people are stupid that way.
The Chivala beach is just 2 minutes walk. However, it is not a very good beach for swimming etc. Probably you can just stroll and get some fresh air.
We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Chivala Beach for 2 nights.
All amenities are in line with the tariff and it is an absolute value for money option.
Rooms- We were a family of 4 , 2 adults and 2 children. Even with an extra bed(or mattress to be more precise) we had enough space to move around. There is sufficient space to keep your luggage without you having to trip on it. Rooms are neat and clean and so is the bathroom. Housekeeping is efficient. Bed and linen is very clean. Hot water is available round the clock. Bottled water ( 3 500 ml bottles) is provided complimentary each day. There was a LED TV and we did not watch much, so cannot comment on the channels available.
Room Service- Room service is very efficient.
Restaurant- The restaurant Malvani Katta is also good. They serve chinese and other north indian dishes along with the local cuisine. Everything is made to order and hence they request around 20 min for an order to be serviced. Prices too are reasonable and so is the quantity. We tried mainly the malwani dishes and we were not disappointed. The fish is fresh. Breakfast consists of bread butter and another dish which could be Ghavane, Poha, Upma, Misal Pav.
Parking is available in front of the hotel and about 5-6 cars are easily accomodated.
Location- We had travelled by train and the hotel staff recommnded that we get off at Kudal. From kudal we hired an auto rickshaw which cost us INR 500. It took about 45 min to reach the hotel and the driver knew the location of the hotel. The beach is a 5 min walk and so is the rock garden. A great eating place called Atithi Bamboo is a stone's throw from the Hotel. Other places like the Malvan Jetty(10 min) and main market(15 min) are walkable though one could walk 5 min to the auto stand to take an auto. Also being off the road there is not much noise of cars and other vehicles.
The hotel staff is efficient and attentive. Wifi is available on request. Speed is reasonable. We needed an auto to proceed to Tarkarli and the hotel promptly arranged for one.
Check in and out was smooth and cards are accepted.
Overall very happy with my stay and can recommend to all who plan to visit Malvan
The Hotel is located very close to chivala beach which is less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. The ambience of the hotel is absolutely decent, it is a family hotel.
The Rooms particularly triple sharing are handsomely spacious (my kids were playing badminton in the room).
The Hotel has a decent restaurant which serves good sea food (Fried Prawns, Komdiwade, chicken koliwada etc). Breakfast is nominal, typical maharashtrian (Poha, upma, shira, ghavan etc). Nothing to rave about but Ashirwad (the person who took and served orders) in the restaurant was most helpful.. Kudos to him.. Room Service is quick and prompt, the beds are spacious, linen clean, everyday they cleaned our rooms. No Network is available in the room, wi-fi network was also not available.
Off course for the people, who love to have a drink the hotel is dry as they don't have a bar.
The check in and check out was smooth and they give you proper breakup of your bill.
Would recommend families to go for it, more-so because, the site seeing points are all close to the hotel. Like( malvan jetty, chivala beach, rock garden, Jai Ganesh temple (Ganpati made up of gold), tarkarli (6kms) and lovely sea food joints like (Swami, Only Fish etc)
I had a pleasant stay with my family of 10 members from 26th December, 2016 to 30th December, 2016.
We stayed in this resort for 3 days in the second week of December. It was a neat and clean hotel with courteous staff at the reception and restaurant. The Housekeeping was also good with on demand service availability.
Though, there weren't much options available for Buffet Breakfast, but the food was excellent, both Veg and Non-veg.
A very homely stay good food excellent service courteous staff thats what summarizes our stay @ hotel chivala beach in Malvan....2 mins walking distance from beach ,rock garden, main market ..... lots of water sports ...... an excellent place to spend your vacation .....
