The reception seemed to have absolutely no clue about my bookings with Travel Guru inspite of having called them to inform about our late arrival.. Very unprofessional..took us 15 mins to check-in. Breakfast included only idlis and some dosa that was all they seemed to have and kept repeating.. the impression i was given is that it was a three star hotel and buffet system is what works.!!! Very unexpected....

Although we reached the Hotel at around 9PM and checked out at 3 AM, we are not in a position to tell our experiences with the hotel.But one thing : in one of our Non AC rooms, the bathroom light was not working we had complained to the concerned person, no action was taken.That was the only problem we suffered.Otherwise we had a good stay at Kumars International.Next time also we will try to checkin at this hotel.Thanks for the coutesy provided by the Hotel Staff.

I didn't like the food. It was oily and very spicy, serving was not proper as well. Apart from that the rest experience was satisfactory. The room provision, staff service and the location was quite up to the mark.

Booked this hotel for my guests found satisfactory with room and services.Rooms are clean but required renovation as the city growing high with modern constructions. Breakfast was from out sourced was found cold. AC was ok cool.Location was ok as our function was close to this hotel.

On 09.10.2015 I reached Mangalore around 5.30PM and had to return on 10.10.2015 at 6.00PM. On enquiry I found that almost all the hotels in Mangalore , the check-out time was either 12 Noon or 11.00 AM, expect that the Hotel Kumar, which offered 24hrs check-out time. I stayed there for one day and they charged me just Rs.1500, including all taxes for an AC room. The room was neat,clean and comfortable. The hotel rooms were renovated/refurbished. The manager of the hotel was very helpful to make my stay very comfortable. A special word of appreciation goes to the Receptionist who is very smart in attending the check-in duty of the guests. The food served in the restaurant was also good. Thank you.

By the name International, don't think that this hotel will offer you a international standard accommodation. However it is good hotel if you are looking for a cheap and reasonable accommodation for one night specially for a stopover. I stayed there for couple of nights as a stopover one after landing to Mangalore Airport and one day before departing from Mangalore as I had my flight next day. Cleaning standards of the hotel are acceptable. Hot water is available 24 hours. They provide you towels & soaps. Hotel has a restaurant Coconut Groove. They have specialized in non-veg food. However don't order Mangalorean style food. I ordered Mangalore Style Chicken Sukka which I did not like. As a Mangalorean I look for authentic taste in a regional food which I could not found. However their kebab items are good. Other dish I ordered was fish fry which was good (but bit expensive compare to the size of fish) and Tangdi Kebab (Chicken Drumstick Kabab) which was great, soft and tender. Room service and reception service is also good. Hotel offers complimentary limited breafkfast consists of Idli and tea or coffee. However if you want to order other items for breakfast you can pay and order it. Overall, this place is good for a stopover. Good and cheap accommodation. For 990 + tax (I paid 1040 for double room) you cannot expect anything more.

This was my second visit to this hotel in a gap of a year & I've seen no improvements from my last visits. I booked this hotel well in advance by making full payment & clearly indicating my check in time around 12 pm; however when we reached hotel around 2:30 PM; the receptionist told us the rooms are not ready yet & it will take another 30 minutes to clean & make the rooms ready; c'mon, you ask the room boy to clean the rooms after the guest checks in? this is disgusting. The rooms are in very poor shape with the wall paint peeled of in almost all of the rooms that I checked with a damp unpleasant smell all over. The hotel advertises a complementary breakfast; however they serve 2 idly & tea in rooms which I believe they bring from outside as I've seen the idly was wrapped in newspaper. There is nothing good to talk about this hotel except for the "coconut grove" restaurant (serves delicious seafood) which is in the same premises; however it's not managed by the hotel management. It's best to avoid this terribly maintained hotel & look for other better alternatives in Mangalore.
