Enjoyed the stay. both our cottages were facing a water fall with the constant rumbling. Very close to mother nature. Service and food were excellent. The only problem was climbing up the restaurant and swimming pool were a bit tiring.

Nice resort nestled in the mountains with the local wildlife. Breathtaking views, treehouse dining, infinity pool and nice grounds. The only downside was the room cleanliness. The room was dirty, linens were stained and smelled musty, shower curtain was nasty and the floor really needed a good scrub. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating (especially in the restaurant).

Nature at its best Nature at its best

Resort is 1 km away from the main road into the forest. Road leading to the resort is not made well as it is part of the forest, will need a big vehicle to negotiate it. Once inside it's all nature. It's about 18 acres property. Very friendly staff. Rooms are good. Food is fine. They are willing to make special dishes for the children if required. Good pool. They don't accept international cards. Mobile network is poor as it's in the forest. Free WIFI only near reception. View from the restaurant is great but has monkey nuisance

Touch with mother nature and excellent atmosphere and nice food. Excellent staff support. Choose the best weather season by referring weather report. June, July August are good seasons. A little expenssive

Nature... Nature...

This was my last abode during the 5 night Ooty stay. Booked reading online reviews, but was a bit hesitant in the last minute owing to some negative reviews of a dirt road leading to the hotel. But when we finally reached there,it was not bad at all! It's 750 m and easily manageable by a safe and careful driver :). We checked in a bit earlier, so the rooms weren't ready, we hopped into the infinity pool which was pure bliss, swimming looking at a mighty mountain. We were then directed to our suite which was huge!! And neat and clean. From the balcony I could here the sound of waterfall. We soon felt that we should have booked at least 2 days, looked online, for the next day but it was all sold out. :( The good thing about this hotel and what made it different from others is- you have on site activities lined up for you so you needn't think about how to spend time here or think about venturing out! We had lunch at the restaurant- feeling in between the jungle viewing a waterfall. We went for the spice plantation tour which was short but fun filled- which ended with tea and snacks - there were a lot of cheeky hungry monkeys around. Seems the plantation was 107 yrs old! We bought some spices. We checked the Ayurshala spa- the services were top class together with sale of herbal products. At night we went for the bonfire and met with other guests at the hotel and had long conversations. Dinner time again at the restaurant. If we had more time we could also had gone for bird watching, tree dining or adventure activities, flower making etc ( better next time).Seems trekking was on hold this time due to elephants. ( we saw birds and monkeys - but no animals) There was a shelf full of quality book's, and the water in glass bottles rather than plastic. In the morning we went for a short walk- lovely uphill and downhill and finally found the beautiful waterfalls! Had breakfast and it was sadly goodbye time. So this is a place to chill out and take a break from routine jobs - with nature, good food and activities - Hats of to the brains and hands behind this venture! Cons: Coonoor wasn't as cold as Ooty and the water in the room comes at a cost. All in all, this is one place we would love to come back to
