We booked this hotel online thru cleartrip for two rooms for a family of 4 adults and 3 kids with two between 10-14 yrs. Though we had booked with an extra bed (by paying extra ofcourse) and gave details including age of kids, the rooms that we got were way too small (Deluxe rooms). In fact we also called up the hotel to confirm if the room size is good for a family of 2+2 and they confirmed. But the fact was that the rooms allotted to us were so small that after putting the extra mattress ( not bed), we did not have any place left for movement. The double bed is also queen sized and not king. In fact the hotel brochure (only kept inside the room) also says that deluxe rooms are only for two people and for extra person, you should take Super Deluxe, this information was not mentioned anywhere while booking and neither did the staff confirmed to us while booking and the sites let us book. If the room is not good enough to accommodate an extra bed, why should the hotel or portals allow us to book that room is something that I couldn't figure out yet. After a lot of talk, the hotel guys agreed to change the rooms but changed only one room and that too after a day. Since we had paid the entire money in advance on the booking site for the 3 days, we did not have much options. Pros: Location is near to lake (not really walkable but near) and Arbuda Devi temple entrance is just 3-4 mins walk. It is a decent property with decent garden area. Not really a heritage place as they publish and not maintained. The pictures published on sites looks better than the actual property. Cons: Wrong information. The hotel manual says (attached) that the room allotted to us is only for two adults and no extra person, still we were allotted the room. Food is not good and services were even bad. Probably the only place in Rajasthan where we had problem with food. Services were horrible. First day, the guy forgets to put water bottles in the room. Second day, they forget to keep the blankets and in between they forget to clean up the room.. really In fact while checkout, we had to bring down our luggage by ourself from upstairs. The guy there told that they will bring it down and made us wait for almost 25 mins. Finally we had to go and get it ourself. Not that I mind bringing my own luggage but sometime with family and kids, it is difficult and you would expect some services after paying a hefty sum. While checkout, I gave the feedback on their feedback register. But no one cared to even respond on that till now. I am not saying that hotel is entirely bad. Its possible that this is solely my experience and others may have wonderful experience at the same place with same people. But than this post is about my feedback. You would do better to check these things and not end up getting surprised.
