A beautiful heritage hotel in a city of traffic. The architecture is magnificent and holds the vintage flavour of India. Good location with lakeview , good service and excellent value for money . What more can you ask for.

On arrival , I was told that the rooms overlooking the lake in the main hotel were not available and had to settle for two small rooms in a annexe and pay more than what I had paid already ! I was quite upset with this.

Excellent location, its just stone's throw away from the Nakki lake. Rooms were good with wonderful hill views. Rest all things were fine.

Be Careful Be Careful

by thegardenchair on February 18, 2017

Lovely Hotel, the best location almost in Abu, small hike down the hill to the centre, three grades of room, great, good and rotten! Unfortunately I got the rotten ones, the lowest costing rooms, remote from the main complex, no views, shared balcony access, weird lighting and power system that is outside the room door, dowdy, smelly room, smoking had clearly been allowed for some time, stagnant, pungent odour, antiquated, unclean, ancient fan heater, TV from the 20th century, window screens from a prison, so dirty, bathroom from a bygone era, towels that should have been burnt. Given the "arrival" branding of the hotel, it's baffling to see how management could subsribe and condone this totally undermining experience. Did bring it to their attention, but they were clearly not interested. A shame really that they care so little about what they could easily recover. Managements response was 'you agreed to pay for this (without seeing or being shown the room) therefore it is your fault not ours - we bear no responsibility'. Overall, beware what they offer you, Great, good or rotten!

We were booked in this Hotel by our travel agent, Sothern Travels. Southern Travels Chennai Office has promised us Deluxe Hotels and Deluxe Rooms.which we have paid for. But when we reached there we have been allotted Standard Rooms. These rooms are terrible. Garages have been converted into Rooms. No proper ventilation in the room. Bathrooms were are not maintained well. TV is an age old one.. doesn't work at all. Food is very bad. We were there for 2 days. Both the days there was only one item for the B'fast buffet and Dinner too was equally bad. Totally run down and property. Do not go by the pics put up on the internet. Not recommended at all

Lone Princely Property Siting Hilltop-Santorini View of Mount Abu Lone Princely Property Siting Hilltop-Santorini View of Mount Abu

by mybrainscape on January 17, 2017

This Lone Princely Property siting hilltop appears quite welcoming when you drive up the hill. The first thing touches you is serenity surrounded by lush greenery of Mount Abu when you get off your vehicle. A well-maintained garden & narrow stone stair of princely days invites you with open arms. Unfortunately, when you reach to any of the room, you are forced to compromise except with The Royal Suite. Almost all of rooms are small including the suite with million-dollar view on top floor. We were although fortunate enough to book the suite with Scenic Nakki Lake in front of terrace, Polo ground on one hand and Toad Rock on other. I doubt if there are any other hotel with these gifts in surrounding at Mount Abu. We enjoyed flying Kites on the terrace during Kite Flying Festival days. All these makes me forget the poorly maintained bathroom, hot water in scarcity & smelling towels! Had this property been taken care of with special touch, it would be probably named as "Santorini of Mount Abu"!
