The Chateau Windsor Hotel is a bit tired and in need of refurbishment, however it is in a superb location. It was an inexpensive hotel with really helpful staff.
The rooms are medium sized and clean. Good staff service. Would love to stay at this hotel on my future visits.
Good service. The hotel is very good and would like to book this hotel in future.
Good hotel with rooms equipped with all the facilities especially the high speed internet access was just terrific.
The hotel has decent rooms with marvellous views over the Arabian Sea and is thus a great retreat in bustling Bombay. It is also situated in the main business area. Look of hotel is not attractive. Location is quite good as well, but it's very far from the airport, so take the train to Churchgate. It is convenient to reach there by road as well as by local train.e airport, so take the train to Churchgate. It is convenient to reach there by road as well as by local train.

service wasn't quite as good as the reviews suggest: we found them pretty curt, and VERY keen to throw us out before checkout time. Also pretty expensive - try visiting the hotel's own website for cheaper deals
I was searching for the good location and hotel to stay for few months until I came across Chateau Windsor. The way the manage their customers, their staff I must say they are good, extremely good. Although they don't have restaurant but they do provide daily breakfast which is quite standard for Vege and Non Vege. All the restaurant looked next to this hotel is walking distances. Marine Drive is 10 minutes walk from this hotel. Church gate Railway station 15-20 minutes walk from this hotel. Chatrappati Sivaji Terminal located 20-25 minutes walking from this hotel. Same goes to Gateway of India. Other facilities hot water 24 hours, Cable TV, and yes you could order food from nearby restaurant from hotel staffs. They have WIFI connection too.
This is a good budget option when staying in Mumbai. The rooms seem quite new; they are clean and well-equipped. Staff are very friendly and keen to be of service. The surrounding area is just OK, albeit better than average for Mumbai, which sadly is not a terribly pleasant city to visit.
The hotel is ideally located near Church gate Station and within stones throw from the Nariman Point. Rooms are a bit small but comfortable. Two double beds rooms for 4 are quite big enough for a family. Need an improvement in Breakfast Menu. Otherwise it's worth it's value.
On arrival, 7 hours before checkin, I was given a small single room to freshen up and grab some sleep. I was offered complimentary tea, coffee, or beer! This was something they did not have to do, but did none the less. Very kind of them. Although the room was a bit rough, it had air con and was very welcome. When I got my room, it was just what I needed. Clean, nice comfortable bet, good air con and fan. The bathroom was a wet room, though the showers temperature control was a bit hit and miss it was fine. The room was also large, I felt very comfortable for my week. The hotel is old fashioned in look, but has lots of character. I especially liked the old lift, always atttended and quite a piece of machinery. It was not loud at all, and my room was near it. Breakfast was limited, but fine for me with eggs or veg cutlet toast, jam, banana, tea or coffee. What made it great was having it on the roof terrace watching the sunrise. A really lovely spot to start the day. I really loved looking at the various plants being grown, including Produce such as Okra, spinach, courgettes, and figs! No restaurant, but room service does good snacks e.g. Sandwiches, omelettes etc. You can order food from local restaurants and have them delivered. It's good to have these on the terrace, with a beer. The hotel will sell you beer, even though it's not on the menu. The hotel is surprisingly quiet, being so central. I had not one bad nights sleep. The staff were all lovely, especially the door staff who were such a laugh! They were very keen to help with taxis etc. The 'management' could be a bit abrasive, but this did not ruin anything. It bacame a bit of a joke how they like to throw their weight about a bit. My room was cleaned each day, and the hotel is indeed nice and clean. I had no bouts of upset stomach all week. Not many negatives, but the hotel could have perhaps been a bit more helpful when we were having trouble getting cash, due to the 500 and 1000 rupee withdrawals and the chaos thereafter. Price was good considering the fine location near marine drive and the comfort of the rooms. I would recommend you pay a little extra for the deluxe rooms, saw an older room and the was not as good. Myself and the people I travelled with would definitely reccommend this hotel.
