The room is not too bad, pretty basic. However, it is evident that every facility was arranged, but not none of them are in functioning condition. The worst experience was with the staff at the reception. Our check-in time was 12 and we had booking for three adults and one child (17 year old) And it was clarified in the booking when making the booking. At the time of checking in, however, the old man at the reception claimed that Booking.com has not updated, but according to their policies, children are up to 5 years. While that can definitely be their policy, I constantly showed them the proof of my booking where there was complete clarity from our side. Plus when we went to check-in at 12, we were told to come back an hour later, as the room wasn’t ready. While we happily accommodated, when it was their turn to accommodate the age factor (which was also their mistake on the listing), they threatened us to cancel the booking and asked us to leave. While we were about to comply, they took it back and checked us in. Moreover, the room had a hair dryer which wasn’t functional at all, the AC did not cool such that we had to call in housekeeping at 3 AM at night. They cleaned the AC at that time and claimed it wasn’t cooling because of dust. Can you imagine how unhygienic that would be ? Plus, the AC was constantly leaking, we even had to remove the bed by the AC. On the first night of our stay, There was no water provided, and when we called the Reception asking for Water, We were told that the hotel does not provide water in the rooms. However, the next day housekeeping did provide free water in the room. As a whole, If I’m going for a vacation, the harassment and behaviour that we had at this particular hotel was absolutely unacceptable.

Best hotel for the price, considering the area it's situated in. Would definitely love to recommended this to anyone, and also to stay there again sometime. The staff is really polite and very helpful. Rooms were perfectly clean and tidy. (We stayed in their biggest room, which was capable to accommodate 4 adults)

I normally book Airbnbs however this one time I booked a hotel and had my worst experience. Annoying security guard. Doesn’t know how to talk or show respect to customers. Travelled from hyderabad to Mumbai for 2 days via our car. We checked out and asked them keep our vehicles Parked in their premise for extra 2-3 hours so that we could go out have our lunch and the leave for our long way back home. Their parking wasn’t full nor they had customers yet the staff and security both were rude enough to not accommodate. If they were full and had other guest on priority parking I would have understood but they didn’t have any and they still went back arguing and disrespecting, especially the security guard. I assume there is a polite way also to communicate. If this is how they treat their customers this is the last place i would book. There are beautiful Airbnb’s nearby and in Mumbai, please book that, at least they accommodate and treat you like customers.

From my very first trip to Mumbai years ago to our most recent stay between Dec 2024 to Jan 2025, I have stayed in Chateau Windsor Hotel and have loved the hospitality. Everyone from the reception, security, elevator personnel, room service and breakfast personnel are so helpful and kind and always smiling and amazing. Rooms are clean and are perfect. I stayed with my family including child this time and we were so happy here. Thank you to everyone we have met here and miss you greatly!
