The man on reception counter was not practical, I requested early check-in and next day early checkout without any extra charge, but he did not listen and he charged me half day charge even next day I checked out at 8.00am No breakfast given even on web site shows. Security staff and other staffs were good and co-operative.

1.The hotel is good and they have room for every budget. 2.But regarding the cleanliness of the room , I found the hotel wanting. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room and the common washroom was not upto the mark. The toilet seat was leaking. 3.The dining was good.I had my food in the Samrat Restaurant which was good.

I felt cheated. During the booking, it was shown as Single room on the travelguru website. When I checked-in, I found it is dormitory. A stinking, noisy, fully faltu room with 10 people sharing it. The bathroom was in bad shape. I never had such terrible experience. there is no transparency.

First of all, kudos for offering me the best online deal for Hotel Unicontinental, Mumbai (Rs.1680 for 2 nights including taxes). However, I was surprised when the hotel reception staff refused to accept the booking made online saying that such low rates are not acceptable (their tariff is Rs.1000 +taxes per night). In fact the hotel owner himself said is offering such low prices without the Management's knowledge. They said they'll allow me to check-in only if I pay additional Rs.450 odd. I knew, there's no point arguing with them at their premises. I called customer care. Believe me, within minutes the hotel receptionist got a call & the matter was settled amicably. The receptionist later told me, agreed to pay them the due amount within next 24 hrs. About the hotel, its situated right next to the Khar Road Railway station. Its a dorm with 10 beds & a common 2-in-1 bathroom/washroom. With 24x7 air conditioning, housekeeping is reasonably good. A delicious North Indian Thali costs about Rs.180+taxes. Room service is available. You'll find a separate dorm for women on the same floor (but without tenets). There is a pub downstairs catering to spoilt young boys & girls of Mumbai. Internet facility available @Rs.30 per hour. Occasionally, you'll find foreigners (mostly Europeans) in the hotel premises. Overall, a nice experience. Its an economical option for those staying without family.
