Perfect Experience! Perfect Experience!

by Joseph H on January 15, 2017

This hotel is a gem! The staff were friendly and very, very helpful! The vibe of the hotel is very artsy and fun! The AC works beautifully! When the manager found out we preferred Indian food for breakfast he arranged for us to have dosai (Out of the Blue doesn't have Indian food, like a lot of Mumbai...and one of the main reasons we came to India was the food!) and even masala chai! The staff leaves treats and small gifts for the guests and everything about our stay was perfect!

The service has been average. The rooms are artsy but they will want to reserve the best ones for last minute guests. Few rooms like Karna and Vaasna are good. There is practically no natural light once inside the rooms. The breakfast spread at restaurant is average, however the staff has been very helpful. The best part about Le Sutra is that you will be able to go for a run by the Carter road sea face in the morning. It is also next door to Olive if you like hanging out late in the night and have a good party. Would generally not recommend if you are traveling on busines.s

Something Out-of-the-box with Style Something Out-of-the-box with Style

by Delara S on January 11, 2017

I stayed in the Gambling room. The decor and the aesthetics of the room were quite pleasing and lived up to the name of the hotel. The art pieces were a good addition and the staff was helpful and friendly. I like the feminine touch that hooked me to this hotel. Being a book lover I went to visit the hotel's Bookstore 'Karma Korner' which complimented the theme of the hotel. The restaurant served soul food (pizza) which was one of the best that I've tasted till date. The staff out there was very courteous and the ambience was superb! Will definitely go back for a visit.

Thank you for a special stay Thank you for a special stay

Le Sutra is well located in the bustling suburb of Khar (W). From the decor to the staff, everything was excellent. the rooms are stunning, spacious and very arty while the staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. I highly recommend Le Sutra!

A charming, eccentric hotel in a great neighborhood A charming, eccentric hotel in a great neighborhood

by Waterloon on January 8, 2017

This funky hotel is the perfect break from the large gated tourist or business hotels. It's located in the Bandra neighborhood far away from the main tourist center of Kolaba but that's what's so great about it. Bandra is a beach neighborhood. You can actually take pleasant walks and even jog. The restaurants are simple, affordable, and accessible to foreigners. The hotel itself lives up to its claim as an art hotel. Every room and every part of this small hotel has been artistically designed. Due to a mechanical issue we had access to two very distinct rooms. The accommodations are comfortable though we did have some power problems forcing a switch in rooms. There was also some renovation work at that time adding a little to the day time noise. The walls are a little thin and walking and kitchen noises can be heard but really these were minor issues. We really enjoyed the couple of days away from the insanity of the center of any big Indian city. We also made good use of the bar/resto Out of the Blue which offered a pleasant outdoor patio. Menu was eccectic and prices reasonable. Patrons are largely local families attesting to the quality of the food and experience. Note this place is about an hour by taxi to the Gateway to India so you need to be comfortable with the Indian taxi and driver hire system.

Demo Trip Avoid floor 3, especially rooms 307, 308, 306. Loud storage room activity is bothersome.
