Clean, spacious and conveniently located Clean, spacious and conveniently located

I stayed here as part of a group on business. We were all given suites even though we paid the standard room rate (Rs. 8000). The first evening I decided to eat at the restaurant and was very impressed (although the price was certainly at least 50% more than what an equivalent menu would cost outside). In particular, the bloody Marys were excellent. The service was a tad slow. Breakfast had an excellent selection of north and south Indian dishes. Freshly squeezed orange juice is a nice touch. My suite was very spacious, modern and clean. The gym was pretty good as well. All in all, it was a very good stay.

The Fern Hotels esp Meluha, the Fern never cease to surprise. I travel regularly to Bombay on solo trips and this time round I had booked Rodas - Ecotel which is a 3 star sister concern. On the day of check in I was informed that Rodas was sold out for one night and they had upgraded my stay to their 5 star hotel which is a stones throw away. Infact I got the upgrade for my entire stay. I wasn't complaining as my previous visit at Meluha was extremely satisfying. Courteous, welcoming and efficient staff right from the security guards to the managers. I got the room prior to the allowed check in time. As always the quality of rooms is top class. The in room dining service is quick and food quality is good. The hotel is well maintained and even while it is nestled between a busy business district you feel at peace inside the property. The only reason Meluha did not score a perfect 5 this time is due to the average breakfast buffet both in terms of options as well as quality of food esp closer to end of service. I clearly remember during my first visit the breakfast spread was more diverse and fresh. I'm certain after receiving the feedback the team will be on job and take quick action to fix the gaps. I will definitely choose Meluha whenever I'm next in Bombay. Cheers to the entire team.

Good hotel - excellent service Good hotel - excellent service

I stayed at the Meluha for 4 nights on business and was generally very impressed. I'd previously eaten lunch at the lobby buffet and was impressed - the food remained excellent for all the meals I ate there this time. What's good? - the service was unfailingly excellent with everyone very helpful - the breakfast buffet and dinner options were very tasty - the room i had was relatively spacious and clean. There were odd signs of tiredness but these could be overlooked - nice little things such as chocolates left each night - laundry service good What not to like? - to be honest, not very much Why am I not giving this hotel 5 stars? It's certainly better than the nearby Renaissance but it's not a 5* hotel - the next week was spent in the fabulous Four Seasons in HK which really is 5* and this doesn't quite get there. However, I'll definitely be staying again next time I'm in Mumbai and would recommend it.

Excellent central location Excellent central location

Stayed on business as a single lady. The area around the hotel is very busy as you would expect in a city. Restaurants and bars within walking distance, typical Indian shops and many western stores. Felt very safe but crossing the road at peak time is a nightmare. Hotel suite was very clean and the bed was very comfortable ( having a bad back this is always a concern) there is a pillow menu which is amazing. Restaurant evening meals weren't very exciting and not a lot of choice and expensive for what you got after all the taxes added on. The service was sometimes quite slow. Breakfast was plentiful with both western and Indian choices. There was a currency crisis when I arrived and reception had little or no currency on some days. The pool on the roof had a jacuzzi and I saw many people using it but its small and there are only about 8 beds around but a pleasant place to sit. There is a gym and a spa.
