This is your average budget hotel centrally located. Its a 5min walking from Victoria Terminus (CST) station and an ideal point for ease of transportation around the city. The place is 2 kms from Gateway of India.
As mentioned, this is a budget hotel, with average facilities, located at a convenient point. The staff was courteous and professional, and didn't make any deals with a couple staying over, unlike other hotels in Mumbai or in that case, anywhere else in India, which was exactly why I choose this place in the first place.
The rooms are very small, and hardly much space to move around and keep luggage. For 2 people in a room, it will be cramped, unless you don't have much of a problem with that. The rooms look modern and quaint, and the fittings and room are modern with a good lighting and ambiance. The staff and the housekeeping were really nice and kind. The buffet breakfast is very plain, with some plain bread and butter/jam, and maybe some omeletes and any typical indian breakfast for the day. If you come in late or join early, the food might either be over or not yet ready. So keep that in mind. Ideally joining in for breakfast around 8.30am - 9 am would be good.
The room had strong Wifi connection. Its better not open the windows to the room, because the view you probably will be seeing is a garbage dump. And mosquitoes will get free entry. On one night of our stay, our air conditioner started to leak water and it was falling on the bed due to the small room. Well, the staff came in to help us at night. The room has an electric kettle for regular hot water/ tea drinkers and another reason why I chose the place. The room looked kind of neat overall, though some dust and dirt can be seen at nook and corners. The bathroom was clean, though hot water seemed stopping in the middle of shower. So it is advisable to first fill in your bucket with water and then start your shower/bath, to avoid the problem of water stopping in the middle of your bath and getting stuck in the bathroom.
Few restaurants are there neaby, and we went to the National hotel - 5 mins walk from PA residency. It is a Muslim place and served very good non-veg dishes.
After we checked out in the morning, we needed a room to freshen up in the evening before our return journey. They gave us a room just for us to refresh and change without paying anything. The staff was really nice and kind.
In short, I was happy with our stay in PA residency.
We stay for 3 nights in PA Residency, Room with modern amenities, walk-able from CST Station, Breakfast is available on time. we had comfortable stay for 3 nights. lot of Dining options available near by.
Best place for budget travellers
We paid for a full night but left at 10pm to catch a train. The manager provided excellent service and offered us a superior room. Although small, it was fine for our purposes.
He organised a take in meal for us. Whether it was bad luck I don't know but we both went down sick thereafter. (I am writing this 4 days on & am still unwell). However, I do not blame the manager for this.
The rooms are very small in standard category. But staff behavior is awesome.
breakfast food menu is very limited. hotel location is awesome. food taste is average but nice restaurants available nearby.
One of the worst stay of my life in mumbai..........
We have booked 03 standard rooms on dated 19.2.2016 for official visit.
Some horrible experience mentioned below................
Rooms are located on terrace level ( they have just made it in remain space)
( KABUTAR KHANA)
1. It was twin sharing but bed size maximum 4*6 for twin sharing (uncomfortable to sleep).
2. No exhaust fan in toilet.
3. Worst water quality it was completely drainage mixed water ( full of dirty smell ) getting in all taps, I had vomit when i took that water in mouth after brush.
4. Shower height approx 4 feet..... just imagine how the person will take it.
5. Staff is completely rude with guests.
6. No water pressure in taps.
7. TV was not working.
8. Tea maker power cord was too short can not make tea in room.
9. Power sockets are loose even you cant charge your mobile properly.
I will tell you guys we have used Bisleri water for getting fresh.
This is my humble request to all don't stay in this hotel.
