Great location and very helpful staff. The Ritz is rated 4 star is appalling. It does not have 2 restaurants with only a snack area for breakfast.

The hotel is located at a very good location near Gateway and railway station, but that is the best good thing you can say about the hotel. The hotel building is old and needs to be upgraded. The rooms, doors, air conditioning and amenities in the room are so early 90s that you get transported to the old age. You can get many better hotels for same cost in nearby areas. The team & service was courteous and professional.

this hotel is located in a very good location and is very near to the Marine drive and Churchgate station but the interior is a little poor. The food options are limited but really very tasty. the kabab and the tandoors are really mouthwatering... Good for a short trip.

I have stayed here more than a month since we have a corporate tie-up with Ritz and had no other option considering limited budget and location viscinity. The rooms and washroom were spacious and hygenic though lack presentation. The walls, furnitures seems to be very old and not been worked since ages. Guest slippers were provided after multiple request. most of time they made a excuse saying they dont have slippers available. The billing at front desk was a pathetic experience. even after paying the billed amount, they have sent us duplicate bills for pending payments additionally stating as original bills are not in place so were sending these duplicate bills. This is so lame of them. Coming to food: food was good, morning complimentary breakfast had limited options, however was good enough you ask it they would make for it for you. Some of the staff at the restaurant were not at all polite.. even after knowing that we and our team have been continously staying there for more than 2 months they should have been liberal with relaxing the buffet breakfast timings. after escalating this twice they then relaxed it for us. The centralized AC system sucks big time, most of the time we managed with just ceiling fans, even after escalating they were helpless in fixing it, POOR Hospitality! Only best thing about this hotel is the location, located at walking distance to marine Drive, walk down to marine drive and njoy late evening!

This hotel is situated near churchgate in Mumbai and is at a walkable distance from the marine drive. This is a very old hotel and most of the infrastructure including rooms, beds, restaurant etc, are not rennovated. There was no control on AC available to regulate the room temperature. The only attraction here is the lcoation, as it is in a prominent location. The complimentary breakfast provided was average. There was not many choices available in the restaurant for dinner. The cost was on the higher side considering the location, it may be bit OK. There were not much of facilities available like WIFI / LAN cable, printing, fitness center etc. This may not be a suitable hotel if you are on business travel for a long duraion. This hotel can be considered for a short stay (1 or 2 days) especially when you want to tour around south Mumbai and looking for an economical option.

We returned to Ritz Hotel for a 14 day stay in Dec 2011 We were given the same big room but on a higher floor. Do make it a point to negotiate the pricing. Same good food, very helpful service, smiling staff and great location. This hotel will really benefit from some sprucing up as there is only that much its employees can do. Wi fi access, 24 hour internet availability are cheap and easy to instal and costs can be recovered quickly. Please upgrade before this hotel loses all of its charm due to lack of maintenance.
