I've stayed at Seashore a few times now and I still think that it's a solid budget option in a great location. A word of advice - only book a room that has a window and look elsewhere if there are none available. Clarify this when you book. The windowless rooms (1100INR for double) are stuffy and hot (even in the cooler months) while the rooms with a window (1200INR for double) have amazing views out to the harbour and get a great breeze. None of the rooms have AC. The bathrooms are shared but are very clean, well maintained and pretty private. The management are lovely and were very helpful to us, but they are old school and everything is handwritten so you can't book online or too far in advance. Best way to book is to call up a week or so before your stay (use Skype to do this if you don't have an Indian sim/are yet to arrive in India) and make sure you book a window room. Only downside to our stay was the plague of mosquitoes that attacked us every night. This hotel is also up several flights of stairs so be prepared to carry your luggage up a fair distance. There is another hotel downstairs (can't remember the name) that is slightly cheaper, the rooms looked a little dirty but could be another option if you're desperate.
