Every single worker was extremely kind, inviting and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the very best. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. Only thing that wasnt the best was the constant issues with wifi (though its allways bound to happen) and even though the mattresses on the beds were amazing, the spare mattresses were as hard as rocks.
For my wedding, I booked my brother in a room at the hotel, which was conveniently close to my own home in Mumbai. Booking the room was smooth enough, check in was a breeze (or at least we thought). On the night before check out, my husband and I went to the hotel and cleared the hotel tariff for my brother and returned home. The next morning, my brother checked out but to our surprise, the 'pre auth' fee was not reversed.
Thus began the nightmare. The front desk had, despite my brother telling them that it was a debit card, swiped it and blocked the entire tariff for 4 days. My brother who lives in Qatar, flew back and continued to coordinate with the staff to save me the trouble. We had, in effect, paid twice for the room.
At some point, the manager told my brother that he needed to take over and ask his bank to release the amount since there was nothing the hotel could do. This was unacceptable considering that the front desk had messed up, and were now throwing up their hands in resignation. They then ignored a message from my brother asking for an update, prompting me to return to the hotel and demand answers. 10 days after my brother checked out, his money was finally returned albeit a lot of follow ups (unnecessary given how much we paid).
Check, then check AGAIN, when you're pulling out a card at the front desk. In this case, they messed up thrice before the ordeal with their managers began.
I stayed at Fern Residency, Acres Club, Chembur from 20th till 23rd January.It was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.Everyone working at the hotel right from the security guard , reception staff, restaurant staff, were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was nice, tasty food, good location.Overall I had a very good experience and I will surely recommend it to my friends.

I have been coming to Mumbai for work during January. This is my 3rd stay in the Fern Residency. It has worked out extremely well for me. The service is excellent in all the areas. The rooms are spacious, clean and very pleasant. The room cleaning and laundry met and exceeded my expectations. The cleaning crew modified the way to make the bed and other details to accomodate my needs (without asking!!! Just by observing my habits!!!). I ate at the hotel often. I am a foodie and like to experiment with new foods. The meals were amazing. In addition, they provided items I wanted that were not in the buffet (like oatmeal). There is a crowd of staff always paying attention to the location and needs of the clients. Everybody I talked to had the same impression. In addition to all this, the hotel is in partnership with the Acres Club, which has a pool, gym and other services. The club is a few yards away. I used the club facilities every day for the gym, to relax and also I got a great body oil massage. Getting to anywhere in the city was inexpensive by Uber. I also took the train at the near by station (first class at $1.30 since the economy class at 20 cents is extremely crowded and not advisable for tourists) to go to the center of the city.
