Service is very slow. Need to keep reminding them of requests. Access key didnt work and had to request 5-6 times but finally got replacement key the next day at the reception.

First time visited, seems bit more costly than other hotels use to stay at ITC Grand Central or Lands end. Food is also not good, overall bit disappointing. Not liked to visited again even well located in centre of town.

This was my first time staying at a St. Regis and I've never had a more memorable hotel stay. I arranged airport transfer, which was very smooth and comfortable despite running a bit late meeting the driver in an effort to exchange currency. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was immediately greeted by my butler for the day who had already checked me in. I was so impressed! He then helped me arrange an Uber to get to a tour I had scheduled in the evening. The next day I was greeted throughout the day by various staff who even remembered my name which made my stay that more special. The breakfast buffet was hands down the best one I've ever seen and I was able to get a to go breakfast the following day to catch an early flight. The room itself was comfortable and spacious. However I found the room cold and could not set the temperature higher than 26. WiFi was good not great. Some reviews have commented on the elevators, but I didn't wait longer than a minute or so going up or down. The hotel is also next to a shopping mall and within walking distance from the Lower Parel station. Checking out was much slower than the butler explained to me, but a taxi was waiting. Unfortunately, the taxi driver charged me 650 rupees for the ride which I paid because I don't argue with foolishness. I'm surprised the driver wasn't told to turn on his meter or charge me a flat rate of 350 rupees which is advertised on the St. Regis website. All in all, I'd recommend the St. Regis Mumbai.

My family and I spent 4 nights at the St. Regis Mumbai and it was probably one of the best experiences we have had at a five star hotel. The staff were great, especially Ms Maryam Farhat (spelling) who went out of her way to comfort my baby son and make our stay enjoyable. The butler service was also great. The breakfast was just amazing, such a great variety and freshness. It was something to look forward to every morning :) There is only one negative point however. We traveled to the India during India cash crisis (withdrawal of 500 and 1000 notes) and we had no rupees. At check-in late afternoon, we begged the manager to assist us with converting a few small dollars into rupee and he refused. He never bothered to even try and we had to try and sort ourself out. I am not sure of his name but I think he could have handled it better and try to assist us.

This is my third visit to St Regis Mumbai in the last 10 months and yet again the product disappoints .There is nothing to redeem the lack lustre luxury in the rooms besides 'the attention to detail' , a hallmark of a great hotel is sorely missing. But for my locational preference ( &the corporate rate!!), I would avoid staying here. Next time perhaps another hotel. Last time I stayed at the hotel in April 2016 and did write a review on Trip Advisor. Since then a few things have changed for the better but the investment in the product perse' has not been given any attention or priority.I for one claim to be no expert in what Starwood( now Marriot!) does with its hotels but as a frequent traveller who stays in luxury hotels,I do know what luxury standards are and those are all I seek to assess St Regis Mumbai against. Room service napkins with bobble and smelly bath towels with no pile are definitely not luxury!! The bath rooms are jaded and tired and require a complete overhaul. The ironing board provided in the room is not usable with the result you end up accruing additional charges on ironing. You never get exactly what you ordered for from the Butlers and in any case their preference is to route all requests to Concierge, in which case why have butler service? I could never ever get my morning tea as per instructions.On two occasions of my week long stay, elevators were taken under maintenance, I saw the maintenance staff working on them but those hardworking folks did not even have standardised or clean uniforms, they could have been working on a road repair! Since my last visit, the hotel security has upped its game, far more polite and accommodating this visit. The breakfast buffet continues to be an indulgence in cuisine from far and wide but the lounge beverage prices are still over the top. The Front office and food and beverages service staff continue to delight with their helpful attitude but are handicapped by lack of either proper training or resources.The new European restaurant is a must try, it has a lot of vegetarian items , the dishes are re-invented imaginatively and the wines paired to perfection. In my analysis, St Regis as is currently is just an also ran in the luxury segment in Mumbai. If location or Starwood points are not your key consideration, choose another local Indian hospitality chain for a far more sophisticated product and service experience

Very good place to stay, especially on weekends, which will be very lively and the rooms and service was above par. Food was excellent with lot of spreads Hotel situated in the center of the city and attached to a maill
