I was not very happy with the Bed. it was soft and carving in. Rest all was good

My new home away from home in Mumbai. The hotel arranged an airport pickup for around $100 which is normal in most big cities. My early morning Check-in at 2:00a.m. was hassle-free thanks to the wonderful staff at the front desk. In fact, all the Hotel staff exceeded my expectations. The concierge never hesitated to find answers whenever i had questions. This hotel is clean and new - a big benefit in Mumbai where some of the 5-star hotels are older and still have not upgraded their air conditioning systems. The air conditioning here is fresh, cool and quiet. I paid extra to get my room on the club floor and really enjoyed the bigger room and large bathtub. Proximity to Oberoi Mall was a nice bonus for banking and shopping. I did not get to use the pool or the spa, but they looked heavenly. Don't miss the restaurants on the 18-floor. My favorite was the buffet. They served up some of the my favorite Indian dishes. In fact, a few of these dishes were the best I have ever tasted (Shahi Paneer bliss) - Kudos to the Chef and all the folks in the kitchen! I had Masala Dosa's for breakfast every morning while watching the sun come up in the city. Don't miss the gift shop in the lobby featuring handmade crafts from Nepal. Beautiful gifts and prices are super-low - straight from the families to the city/ no middleman.

This hotel's experience will go down my memory lane as one of the best so far. It is located in a serene surrounding, considering that it is Mumbai, and you do not have this much of space available anywhere, to maintain that serenity. When you enter the hotel gate, you start feeling the warmth of hospitality right from that point. The staff are so well groomed that they could be described as a textbook example for best practices of customer care (management institutes can bring their students for visit to this hotel!). At the reception, you will meet people with their name tag, and their passion listed on the name tag. I love to address people with their names, that is one of the reason I always read the names of people on their name tag and address them. Here I was surprised to see the list of their passion - though mostly cricket, but that provides you an window of opportunity to interact, with those people with beautiful mind. The reason why I labelled this review as " A hotel that takes complete care of their guest", emerges from my experience of 3 night stay at this hotel, which can be described as below. This was my second experience of Westin stay - the first one was a long time ago in Bangkok Westin Grand in Shukumvit. This time I had an early check in booked through our travel agent, so I arrived at around 9:30am, after a 14 hour long flight. Guess what, the hotel was not informed of my early arrival (the travel agent messed that up). Obviously, I was not very happy and took all my anger on the two busy people at the reception (17th Nov, morning). This was my litmus test. What I got in return for my rudeness was apology (none which was their), and invitation to wait while having breakfast (which I could not accept because I was full), till they could get a room ready for me. They immediately provided me with a WiFi access code to make my wait as pleasant as it could be. Their nature of response and diligence in dealing with guests who have short temper (I also forgot to take my blood pressure medication that morning), is extraordinary. They kept on apologizing for this inconvenience until my checkout. So, that was the beginning. The hotel layout is so carefully designed that the rooms one side will give you a view of the last greenery of Mumbai city, with a mountain at the back drop, and the other side will show you the bustling Mumbai skyline. The room/s are very carefully appointed with amenities which you will need during a hectic travelling schedule. The complimentary accessories are not there just for the sake of being there, but they have always been of excellent quality that one could love to use (I do, and I did). The layout of the room is very unique, in a class of its own. The furnishing is just right for a business traveler - fast WiFi, ergonomic chair, working table, couches to relax, a TV with global channels, well lit room, and above all a bed that you will hate to leave every morning. The rooms are clean, and well maintained. The gadgets are of high quality, as are the furniture and other furnishing. The locker is big enough to store a lot of things, and feel secured while going out of your room. The air-conditioning is well controlled. The breakfast is served in one wing where, you will fall in love with the view of the mountains and greenery, while you may chose to have dinner on the other wing of the same floor facing the city, which will amaze you with teeming lights busy Mumbai. The variety of food for breakfast will spoil you (I completely abandoned my diet plan during my stay there). My advise is, do not rush - go step by step and enjoy the taste of India through the Westin kitchen. I am pretty sure, there may not be any parallel to this experience often to come. You will notice one thing here that there are people to take care of all your needs for a memorable breakfast. You will definitely be asked by one of their staff about your experience, and he/she will make sure that you get everything that you wanted there for your breakfast. Dinner is another episode of luxury. The kebabs here are ... I do not have the words to describe them - the malai kebab will melt away as soon as you place them inside your mouth. I make kebabs too, but I could never match that. I would have tried to steal the recipe from Chef Angad, the legend, but just did not feel like disturbing him. Make sure that you try his kebab - a must during your stay there. Almost everything that was served for our dinner had a unique mix of spices, that gave the dish an edge over each other. There is a gentleman, a legendary handicraft genius, who will make lac bangles for you, for free, which is also a feature worth mentioning - he gifted two to me (Thanks a lot for that, and my apologies I missed his name). On my 4th day, my flight was at night 9:00pm, and I had to check out latest by 12:00pm. I wanted a late checkout to suit my flight time, but that was not allowed by my travel agent. Guess what, the reception desk suggested that I check out at usual time, and they will store my language (which is very usual at any hotel), but I they will give me complimentary access to their Spa, on my return from meeting at 4:00pm to take shower and rest anywhere in the lobby or Spa. Even this may not sound great for some people, but wait for the next punch. When they were suggesting me this option, they noticed that I was not very comfortable, even with this privilege, and they did care to ask me if there is anything more they can do for me - because they knew it right. I told them "you see, I need late checkout because I want a place to pray, after my return from my meeting and before leaving". Guess what, they promised to provide me a place to pray, and even promised to organize a payer mat for me, if I so wanted. That is when I felt that the Westin Mumbai Garden City is not a hotel where you just pay, stay, enjoy, and may forget. This is a place which you will treasure to remember for their hospitality, COMPLETE customer care, and diligence par excellence. I take this opportunity to thank you all at Westin Mumbai Garden City, and my gratitude may please be extended to everyone, from the security gate staff to the welcome desk, the staff in the kitchen, floor managers and all other whom I have no knowledge of, who make this place a home for many. You are a bunch of awesome people, associated with a great place called Westin Mumbai Garden City. God bless you all

I think Westin Mumbai is one of the best properties in Mumbai and well maintained with consistency. Good location, impressive view of Mumbai from room, nice n helping staff and good breakfast spread on 18th floor. Overall a very good experience, once again !

This hotel is like an oasis in the middle of the desert, believe me. Rooms are more than perfect with more than 100 square meters!!! Swimming pool well aconditioned, restaurants are also more than well .... and it is only half minute by walking to the shopping center to walk around, shopping and fast food restaurants.

Let me begin with the main reason why I was even here. I work with Maersk and we had our team offsite at Westin. We chose this venue after weeks of reviewing our options and in the hindsight are happy about our final choice. The conference rooms are big enough to easily accommodate group of 50 with ample sample to do medium to complex level physical activities both indoor and outdoor. Meals and Cocktail evening package included a good range of meal/drink options. Accommodation and turn down service was good. Service by the in room dining, main reception and the restaurants/bar staff was not compromised despite of full house. Overall a pleasant experience.
