The staff, as with all Taj hotels is very good. The main lobby is nice and the two breakfast restaurants are good. I stayed in Executive Suite, they have internet in room at a reasonable cost so again, as a business traveler the hotel is acceptable but certainly not memorable. The floor carpet was a bit worn out, but the room was clean, the service excellent, and the front desk very helpful, The bathroom had lots of great amenities. An excellent hotel in the city centre area of Mumbai. Both the room and service was extremely pleasing. The staff were courteous and helpful at all times, and the rooms were very clean, especially the bathroom which looked recently renovated. Breakfast was superb, the vast range of dishes that the chefs can prepare on request are incredible, and I felt very well looked after by the staff. I stayed in an Executive Suite, amenities are all free like gym, steam room. Pool is very well maintained. Three restaurants on site. Breakfast was included in my package and there was a great selection of Indian and European food, fresh juices are reallygood. Barath Kumargood. Barath Kumar

I spend 3 nights and stay was good. They have a restaurant called Wink which is good to chill out in the evenings.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. I stayed in an Executive Suite room, not cheap. Hotel offers good facilities and these amenities are all free e.g. gym, steam room. Nice hotel but something missing Nice hotel but something missing

This is a nice hotel in a reasonable location but I felt that for a 5 star property there was something missing. We were apparently upgraded to a better room, however the bed was just a double and the pillows were awful. I also felt that the staff were a bit lacking. Any time we went to reception we had to physically get the attention of the staff, the door staff (of which there were far more than needed) were slow to assist, and the staff in the 24 hour cafe lacked attention to detail. The hotel has a tour desk, but it seems all that is offered is a car, a driver and a guide if required. I found this strange at the time but we had a similar experience elsewhere in India so maybe this is normal On a positive note, we tried two of the restaurants - Konkan and Thai Pavillion - and they were both excellent. Our spa experience was also excellent, I wish I could remember the name of the male massage therapist as I would like to commend him.

Had high expectations for the Taj Vivanta, whose rates are not much less than the Taj Mahal Palace, but was disappointed by the stay. The receptionist who checked me in at 1am had a real attitude on him. I simply asked for a 2pm check out, not so big a deal when I was not checking in until 1am, but he proceeded to lecture me on how full they were etc. It really was going to be such a big effort for him.... The room was small and seened dated, despite an attemt to refresh with modern art. Bathroom was small but adequate with a nice walk in shower but no bath tub. Breakfast was Ok, but nothing amazing and very crowded. My package included a complimentary foot massage which was very good. In fact the gym and spa area was nice and well managed. The lobby looks impressives but overall the rooms and corridors are dated and need a complete renovation. My advice would be to spend a few 1000 more rupees and go for the Taj Palace instead. Its 100 times nicer hotel

I booked this hotel because I expected luxury after touring India for a month and I felt short changed. My hotel room was small and outdated. The Thai and Italian restaurants are 5/5! I really enjoyed the menu and ambience. The hotel staff are nice were attentive to my needs. House keeping was prompt and made small flower arrangements which were very special. The shower was great.

Expected a good standard of hotel for the price paid and was not disappointed. Good size room with amenities as expected for this hotel. Location a short walk from gate of India. Nice restaurants and breakfast. Would stay there again.
