The hotel is located centrally in the main city. Our room was not that great in looks as the interiors were of an old style. Even the room was stinking a bit. There were no facilities in the bathroom. The staff service was average. We had our food in the hotel, and it was average in taste. Overall, an average stay in this hotel.
It was a great stay altogether. The room was spacious and clean and food was just superb. The staff was professional and the service was well directed. The location was fabulous. It was truly a complete hotel.
Very old fashioned decor. We stayed in a Standard room and it is good. The service and friendliness was absolutely wonderful. The location is great.
The four star rating is misleading. A four star hotel is very different. People get misled into that.

This is old time favourite hotel, now needs maintenance and care but management is not willing to make a call. Old fashioned rooms, open electric wiring, building is more than 60 years old. Highly priced because of location. Nothing to appreciate.
We stayed in West End hotel on our weekend trip to Mumbai from Pune. The location is good in terms of accessibility but not really a posh location. The hotel is old but very clean and well maintained. The rooms are not exactly as shown in pics - they have kind of old feel, few cracks on walls and furniture is old but clean. They do have balconies but very small ones. We booked two rooms with double bed but one room we got had twin single beds. Service is warm and friendly. Wifi is not free(!!!!!), they charge 300 rupees for 24 hours which is very high. Room service is good and quick. Over all good experience but seems we paid a lot more compared to what we were offered.
I stayed in the hotel in Dec-16 for a week, this is a very good choice in this area. Here is the summary: Pros: - Rooms are big and well lit, bright. - Service is very good. - Has an in-house restaurant, which functions well. - Next to Bombay hospital, in a market area where you will find everything - Are is well connected, so you will get taxi/auto and cabs round the clock - Very close to Nariman point, New marine lines local station, churchgate, shivaji park and other prime areas. Cons (mostly minor): - Its a very crowded and busy area, so always noisy. The glass windows and doors reduce the noise upto a good level, still. - The building is pretty old, and has limited parking space - The surroundings are not very pleasant, many people sleeping on footpath around the hotel. - Slightly overpriced, considering no free breakfast and internet - Front desk staff can be more warm and welcoming (like the other staff) Overall a very good choice in this area, for good service, excellent rooms and good connectivity.
My family and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting Mumbai. Very reasonable rates for this older hotel. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We were made to feel welcome. The restaurant provided buffet meals throughout the day. All offerings were delicious and bottled water always available upon request. I heard this hotel has a fantastic bar. Unfortunately, we missed out. Would have loved to have visited. Wifi was available via purchase of a daily access code. It was limited to one device per code. Wifi accessibility could be improved. Other than that, it was great.
I spent a week at the West End Hotel while I was in Bombay for my son's wedding. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was great. They were very attentive and I felt like I was a queen. I ate several meals in the hotel restaurant and the food was excellent. Room service was great too. The princess chicken and the caramel custard were my favorites. The hotel was under renovation so I'm sure it will only get better. I'm not sure when I'll be going back to India but I do know where I'm going to stay! I would recommend the West End Hotel to anyone going to Bombay.
