My experience with Ambady falling water is really memorable. Its in between the forest somewhere 20km away from the city. The moment we entered i fell in love with the beauty of nature. staff is well behaved and helping nature. food is also good. I will surely recommend this resort to my family friends.

It was a bit of a shocker to know that this hotel is a recommended hotel @ that price. The hotel is too overpriced when compared to the customer service and quality of rooms that this resort has to offer. - The place is located at a very isolated place which isnt easily accessible. We had a very tough time to plan our outings during the 3days 2 night stay and the family cottage. The actual tourist points (Munnar town itself is 17 km away from this place). The place is off the NH49 highway by around 4 km and this patch is very isolated. The roads are also not well maintained. - The hotel staff were far from being customer centric. The reception desk was absolutely unprofessional and none of the staff was clad in any official uniform. We saw the staff sleeping in one of the hotel rooms meant for guests. It might be due to the fact that we came in on a weekday and perhaps, they, quite realisitically expected no one to check in as we found in the next 3 days. There was no one who checked into the resort while we were there. For the same reason, perhaps, there was no set menu for the breakfast. We, thus, conveyed our choices of the options offered to us. Next day morning, expecting the menw to be as requested, called early morning and had a revert from reception saying, "why didnt you tell early - its now that you are telling me". How can a reception desk ever talk to the customer like that? I expressed my displeasure there itself and that still didnt see a revert with an apology. Had more of similar experiences. However, would want to appreciate here - Anoop MP, the waiter/helper staff, who was on his toes at all times and was a bit of a relief as he interacted and helped take care during the stay. - Coming to the hotel rooms, I suggest everyone to not to get swayed away by the external appearance of the hotel which is quite good but misleading too at the sametime. Please make it a point to look at how the rooms from inside look. The lightings/illumination is poorer than you would find in villages. The room absolutely apears as if it were a lodge. The rooms are far from maintained. The damp smell pervades the rooms. You can, by no means, relate the interiors with a family cottage accommodation costing 4.5 K per day. The accommodations dont have A/C and the reason for it not being there was told to be - its too cold and you wont need it. - Due to the place being isolated, one need to depend on the tours that the hotel staff can arrange for. However, the rates quoted are too high. We had to arrange to take their transit vehicle to the NH49 highway each and then find a much cheaper cab than what they had to offer for the sight seeings. - However, the place is absolutely true and lives upto its name - "Ambady Falling Waters". The Falling Waters in the premises are actually very beautiful and clean. Well for rest of the things, the name itself says - Am Bad (Ambady!) The thought to have a detailed feedback here is to ensure you research before going for this resort as we felt ourself being too misled and uninformed and we wished that we would have done good research before falling for this. Dont want anyone else to go through the same experience, being caught unaware. My observations might have been due to the thin occupancy (just my family) at the hotel or I having given much more weightage to the room where I were to stay. I went as a family and found it a strict No No. However, young groups might find it adventurous to be at an isolated place and in the embrace of nature (as I said, when you are outside the room, its beautiful, green and scenic. Just beware of the leeches though!). Thus, weigh your priorities and research a bit before deciding to book this resort.

-Room was clean and well maintained. -they upgraded our garden view room to falling water view which is the best. - room service is also perfect. - Food menu is very limited ,wish there could be more options. - food quality was good. - Doors were not closing properly due to this there are insects in room in night. - initially hot water supply was not in function but they fixed it later.

NATURE AT ITS BEST NATURE AT ITS BEST

by Asheesh_travellor on October 29, 2016

One of the best resorts in Munnar. Away from the main town, Set amidst greenery its a nature lover paradise. The rooms are cosy comfortable and well maintained. The staff is specially very helpful and ready to serve you. The restaurant is great, though not much variety but delicious. Setting of the restaurant is good. Dine with greenery all around. A stream flows throughout he resort and in front of your room. But the star of the resort is the Personal Cascading waterfall behind the resort. Amazing feeling in the morning when you sit next to the fall sipping tea. Just sit out in front of the room and enjoy the water and greenery around you. Simply amazing. Love to come back again

The hotel with awesome view The hotel with awesome view

by Syed K on September 25, 2016

We stayed in the hotel for 2 days. The hotel is situated in the lap of nature. The waterfall view from the balcony is mesmerizing. If you really need a break and want to enjoy the nature this is the hotel to be in. The rooms are neat and clean, please don't expect a 5 star hotel kind of luxury. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. I had cold and fever, the hotel staff provided me hot water for steam inhalation. The breakfast was good, however the dinner was average. Please arrange your own travel or check with Kiran, he arranged travel for my entire trip Kotchi to Munnar, thekady and allepy which made our journey comfortable and hassle free. Overall a great experience.

Truly In The Lap Of Nature Truly In The Lap Of Nature

by harsh S on August 11, 2016

It's mesmerizing to watch the waterfalls and deep jungle form the balcony, its quite and peaceful, with the only music of water flowing and birds singing. We earlier planned to stay for just 2 nights but we loved the service and hotel, so we extended our stay to 4 nights. The outer appearance of the hotel was tremendously beautiful. The rooms were beautiful, clean, spacious with good interior and excellent view. They served different breakfast every morning, which was delicious, They also provide with different indoor games like badminton, chess, table-tennis, carrom, etc. And of course, last but not the least, The Manager (Mr. Chandrakiran) is a wonderful person, he helped us plan our further trip in kerala and also did the hotel bookings for us. The complete staff did a wonderful job. In short we were 100% satisfied with our stay. We would Love to visit again, in our next trip to munnar.
