To summarize the worst parts of my stay: - There was a gap between window frame and pane, which let lots of mosquitoes into the room at night. - I paid for an AC room but there was no AC at night because there was "low voltage". Management was told twice and nothing was done. - There was a constant knocking sound during night (like a mechanical pump) and noisy diesel generator right outside our window. Plus a cinema next door that played films very loudly to the early hours of the morning. - The bathroom was dirty and unhygienic, the toilet leaked; we found a small cockroach in the sink - No tea or milk, no complimentary toiletries. Other hotels we have stayed in would have provided a decent breakfast for a little extra cost. Chandana Royal Resort did not offer a breakfast, not that we would have eaten there anyway. - Doors did not seem to lock properly, with security seemingly being absent at night. - The bed blanket was dusty and the rooms are not cleaned daily. Just before we went we found pest droppings behind a bedside table. The only positive thing I can say was that some of the views from the hotel were very nice and the area spectacular.
