Very good resort inside the jungle.Extremly helpful team of resort. You feel staying here that you are in some jungle.
No mobile connectivity except that of BSNL.Internet is available only at Reception and Restaurant.
Food requires improvement.
I had the misfortune of visiting this place in December right before new year. We had great expectations based on what we saw online, however, on reaching the place we realized it was not the right choice. We were a big group of 14 and had booked 2 bungalows of 3 and 4 bedroom each. On checking in we found that the cottages allocated to us were in pretty bad shape, not maintained and very very old. We did not even have basic plug points to charge our phones, bathroom was ancient and unkept, both rooms on the ground floor of B5 were small and congested.Definitely not how it looks like in the pictures on their website!!
The restaurant was about half a km from our cottage, with kids and senior citizens it becomes difficult to commute back and forth and you have no choice but to walk to the restaurant as they charge ridiculous amount as room service.
Food is below average at the restaurant, extremely pricey and small portions, taking advantage of the fact that there is no other food option in its vicinity.
There was complimentary breakfast that is good in terms of variety, but the staff seemed lazy and reluctant to fill up empty trays on time!
We had paid an additional 3000 (god knows why!) for campfire, food was charged extra, 3000 only for lighting fire (another strange charge I've never witnessed in any other resort I had been to). BBQ was an additional 2000 which came in the form of uncooked chicken initially, after complaining it took the form of 'burnt' meat!!! We informed the manager about it and he insisted we pay half the amount although the marinated chicken was returned to them. The manager (not sure of his name) was extremely curt, someone probably needs to remind him that he is in the hospitality business!
To sum it all up, it was the worst holiday experience for me. I am a regular traveller and have visited many places in the western ghats, always had pleasant experiences with stay, food and friendly hosts, unlike this one.
Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone visiting Munnar, especially if you are travelling with kids/seniors.

A wonderful, amazing, dazzling experience we got in Deep Woods. Its really deep into the woods and its obsoletely for nature lovers.
It was my dream bungalow and still couldn't come out of that beauty of nature and the chillness of the weather which we admired from balconies.
Food was average but the service was good. More than outside my family enjoyed, relaxed and had fun in Deep Woods. We were especially thrilled of elephants when we had trekking to the waterfall which our caretaker took us. I need to thank Mr. Joseph for guiding for an unforgettable trip.
As the name sounds, it is indeed too inside the city and you breath fresh air coupled with all basic/ luxury amenities expected from a resort of this category. Depends on the customer if he is ready to experiment and stay away from city noise and traffic, but, does that mean its the most well built and serviced, the answer is may be. Lets start with infrastructure, it is relaxing and exhausting at the same time, relaxing due to nice and quiet environment and exhausting because resort itself engulfs so many steep heights that you will have to rely on their vehicle to ferry you to the restaurant or any other place within their long stretched property. Now, Food and service which is where things start crumbling up. Quality and taste are not at all satisfactory and most possible cause could be lack of staff as understood from the higher management. The only saviour was the middle management which somehow tried best to ensure guests had a relaxing time, but, I believe ground staff is equally very important to make or break the experience. Lastly, you cannot think of moving out the property as its almost 7 - 9 kms away from city. Better is take your own hired vehicle to have sumptuous mean elsewhere.
