The hotel is a converted tea bungalow and they also changed its name to Tea Villa.So less rooms(probably 5) are there.It is very difficult to locate the hotel and lots of time wasted reaching the hotel.No room service and reception closes as early as 8 pm.You have to go to the reception and press the bell if you need anything.Food is really, really pathetic. Though they have complimentary breakfast that served after 8 am, we skipped the breakfast on second day as we didnt have time and they are also not ready to serve before 8.Please look after some hotel in the main market area to save your time and energy.

Munnar Garden Villa is a very good destination if you want to ruin your complete trip. In every possible aspect the hotel (what hotel? It is poor than even a roadside Dhaba) has managed to get your mood OFF and destruct your precious holiday... 1) Location : Zero/Ten (cant give negative marking) Imagining what worse can happen with location? Just experience it here... Reaching first time? You will end up wasting 1.5 2 hours searching this hotel. Then every time you will have to go through half hour journey between Munnar and this hotel (before/after sightseeing). Being in Devikulam, this hotel is located in the most unreachable interiors. The roads are as poor as you can ever imagine. 2) Resort :- Zero/Ten (cant give negative marking) Equipped with Deluxe Rooms - 12 feet by 12 feet approx. and Super Deluxe - same 12 feet by 12 feet approx; just pay 1200 bucks more for the Super word. Walls of the rooms are painted with poorest quality White Oil Paint, roof made up of cardboard, and no windows. TV just good by name; was not working in our room. Crawling and flying insects welcomed us under blanket. These blankets had huge holes in them, were torn from middle. The western toilet (commode) enjoyed LEAKING from rear bottom. Hot water in steps hot, cold, hot, cold. 3) Service :- Zero/Ten (cant give negative marking) One single boy is working as a receptionist, as waiter, as room boy (and I guess could be as cook also). If you want anything, just go to reception and empty chairs welcome you. Keep roaring hello, excuse me for five minutes and if you are heard (by chance) one somebody will appear. 4) Food :- Zero/Ten ...(cant give negative marking) The so called restaurant is poor than even a roadside dhaba. Have a look at the images. A perfect under construction building called off, walls not even plastered and painted with brick colour. Learn unhygienic conditions here. Food is not at all tasty. They have a long menu card but only 4-5 items can be prepared by them, rest are just for show. They dont even have good quality glasses, will serve cheap use and throw glasses for drinking water. In a nutshell, worst place you can ever expect. Dont know how it has been given a 2-Star rating when it doesn't even deserve a star rating, doesn't even fall in this category.

The pics and actual place was different there was issue with my booking. i had booked 3 rooms but when i reached there 5 hours late, they had only 2 rooms vacant. i had to adjust in 2 rooms. The deluxe rooms are very small and so is its TV. Not worth the price
