Located in 7 km away from the town and in the middle of a forest. The employees were very helpful. The place is ideal for family. Not worth the money though !!

We had a wonderful trip to Kerala in January 2017, except for terribel experience from one Resort in Munnar. I thought it would not be appropriate for me to keep away from writing a review about one of the Resorts in which I stayed. I had just glanced through the reviews in TripAdvisor. After visiting the resort, I called my travel agent to change the resort immediately and got it changed the very next day. The resort is WOODPECKER, Munnar. The conditions are below pathetic there. Will anyone spend for rooms that are literally damp. The staff does not maintain the property. Not painted properly. Really dingy. Service is poor. You will think why you have come there to suffer. Leaves were coming into the room. Quality of food is really bad.

It was just an average resort. In rainy seasons its little witty in nature. Its very hard to find if your driver do not know the place. Breakfast was very good but paid dinner was not. Reaching resort an adventurous task.

Really happy about the room condition and services, its located at a beautiful area with cam and quite. Rooms are very specious and foods are very qualitative. its located at little bit inside from town so you can enjoy that silence and nature...

We stayed at Woodpecker resorts for two nights. We were met by a friendly staff. The check-in process was easy and they were able to make adjustments to our room requirements. (The in-hotel rates are much higher than the OYO rates!!). The rooms were very nice and in general well-maintained. There was not much of a view from the resort; however, if you walk a bit to the next resort, the view from there was magnificent. Getting to the resort was an adventure - the road is very narrow and very rough. Also, we were lucky that our driver knew exactly were the resort was. Our biggest problem was breakfast. On both days we had a full schedule. The breakfast was advertised to start at 8:30 a.m. Both days, at 8:30 a.m. the dining room was not open. Then a guy comes to open it and he spends some time arranging the vessels and spoons. The first food item didn't show up from the kitchen until almost 9:00 a.m. People were getting very agitated, and when we complained to the front desk, they explained that they are very much understaffed in the kitchen. The quality of the food was so-so. I think the management should spend a bit more attention to the food department. Having the customers start the day satisfied will set the tone for the rest of the day.

This is not at all a resort. No proper food. We ordered food and had to wait for 2 hours to reach us. We lost our hunger by that time. When asked, they said that there is some difficult situation in the kitchen. We noticed that there was only one server. I am sure that there would have been only one chef. Other families too suffered. The second problem is their location. Very difficult to reach. The roads are too narrow. Added to this, there is no network connection. Don't even expect Airtel or Hip to work in this location. Utter waste. We will not be able to make even one emergency call to our family back home. Overall experience is poor. I didn't even want to rate one star.
