We had a really bad experience with the Hotel as well as with you (Travelguru)..While booking from Travelguru there were no specifications made for the rooms that how it will be.In our invoice it was mentioned as Superior Rooms..So if we think of a Superior room, the room should be with a double bed and an extra bed in the room as the occupancy was 3 person per room and that how was the money paid by us...Travelguru offered us a discount of 10% on HDFC credit card..We paid it accordingly.. On 12th May we checked in the hotel Sandpiper. The Manager on the reception gave us one room where the room was stinking, toilets were stinking and a room was like a dormitory..The room had 2 double beds and one single bed. This room was on the ground floor near the storage and one room which we booked was on the 1st floor which was not a superior room but just a Deluxe room.. We refused to take the room..We had a big fight with the Hotel owner as well as with Travelguru team. The owner of the hotel to whom we were speaking to was so rude to us that he asked us to pay extra money for the same rooms just as we wanted it side by side..We refused to do that...Then after one and half hour quarrel we were settled in one big room and one deluxe room where we paid money for 2 superior rooms... Travelguru - A humble request to you that pls do not take bookings if you do not know the Hotel properly and the Hotel management..That was very sad on our part that we had to compromise just because kids were with us...FYI we will never do any booking through you neither we will again visit to Sandpiper resort...

It has the best possible location in Murud as it is perched on top of a hillock with a jutting hill enclosing it back to provide unrestricted view of the beautiful sea while being surrounded by greenery. I prefer staying at Sand Piper Resort when I go to Murud which is at least twice a year. Their pool is well located and their patios facing the sea have the best view in Murud. Rooms are comfortable and food is good but I like driving down to Patil's for lunch and dinner. Breakfast spread is decent though. Hotel staff are very attentive.

Was there in May. We had booked this hotel from Nivalink. We had taken non sea facing room. What we came to know over there that they have booked a dormitory for us which had some 8 beds side by side. It was stinking like hell as it was opened after many months. Owner stays in Mumbai and have political connections. After 45 minutes of fight he agreed to give us two room at Rs. 800/- extra per room. whole hotel was empty as it was Tuesday. Staff is local and they hardly pay attention to you. Though we were staying over there they had not prepared breakfast for us. after many requests they sent someone to get eggs from market we got breakfast at 10:30. Swimming pool was good and they have some rooms which are sea facing with view. But not again.

I have been visiting this place almost every year since 2009 one or more times already twice this year. Located in one of the paramount spots in Murud, a direct view of both Jangira fort and ruins of Kasa fort located right in the middle of the sea. Each rooms a sea has view with varying degree. I prefer to take the front rooms from the building instead of the Row house. The resort surrounding is very spacious, equipped with a mid-sized Swimming pool (consist of a demarcated baby pool) and play area for children. The stay option consist of with and without food, I always have taken with food which covers all the meals. This place unsuccessful in maintaining its charm, could never get the same feeling as it were during my first visit. Have observed the facilities and room interiors has been deteriorated for inadequate maintenance. Likewise my experience with the served food is the same. Currently the resort consist of scanty friendly staff and working hard to match expectation. I tend to overlook the option that have undermined the Given this place gets revived to its original charm, it would be the best place to stay in Murud.

Location being on height it gives a very good view point, food again was good but little expensive but hardly any choice in Murud for veggies. Staff was helpful, however was being renovated that is why bit discomfort. It has got a good swimming pool and TT table.

The only good thing about the place is location. Apart from it everything was horrible. Rooms were not tidy, cealing was peeled off, there were cracks in walls. Not worth the amount paid for the rooms. You can't survive without Odomos, thanks to the mosquitos and creatures. Pathetic room service. As we planned to go to beach so we did not opt for food packaged. We ordered starters in evening, which came soon but the quantity was so less that after one bite it was over. After one round of drinks when we asked for more ice, it did not come for almost after one and a half hour. When we enquired for it again, the waiter informs us that ice is over and it was only 9:30PM. It was a huge disappointment after travelling for 180 KMs ... there was no ice for drinks, no proper starters, poor quantity. How worst can it get??? Moreover when we questions the waiters regarding the quantity, they rudely replied that this is the quantity and management has asked to serve this much only. Many dishes on the menu were not even available. At the check out we had to pay rip off charges for food as we did not opt for the food package....... not at all worth it..... A complete waste of time ... energy and money.........
