Quaint hotel Quaint hotel

by Meghah on November 28, 2017

Landour has a uinique charm and Doma's Inn lives up to it. I was there for 2 nights in Nov'17. The hotel has 2 types of rooms Std & Deluxe. I took the deluxeroom. It is a charming place with every inch and corner decorated with a tibetan mark. Antique boards, posters, signs and dragons are all around. Along with Landour streets, this hotel is itself a good place for indoor photography. The place is convenient with a small uphill walk to Char Dukan. A circuit around will cover Char Dukan, Lal Tibba, Sister's bazaar, St. Paul's Church and back. Also, a point to note, it's right next to Ruskin Bond's home. The food is lovely and they server big portions. I am not a foodie but those who love to eat will enjoy here. But above all the positives is the hospitality. Mr Tasha who is the owner is a very kind man and was very helpful. I couldn't thank enough. Overall an outstanding place and people. Will definitely love to return. And will recommend to friends.

Peaceful! Peaceful!

This is a quaint place, away from crowded mussoorie.. The Tibetan interiors are charming and so is the staff.. Everyone was very helpful and easy going. The rooms are comfortable. Opt for rooms on the first floor which have balconies and windows.. Room No. 1 and 6 are their best rooms... My favorite is Room no 6.. It has a cute private terrace attached and haa a separate entrance from the road... They don't have a lot of options in food, but there are lots of places nearby.. Some of which even deliver food here.. The walk up to Chaar dukaan is beautiful and must do if you stay here.. This place is very good if travelling with friends or as a couple... The crowd is an interesting mix of people.. I have been here twice already and recommend it strongly! Tip: Ask for specific rooms in advance at the time of booking.. Its a small property and people usually book their rooms in advance.

Good but bad for hindus and muslims... Good but bad for hindus and muslims...

Staff is awesome.. Facilities are good as well... Views are touching but the major issues is food from their kitchen.. Its terrible tibetan restaurant is killing.. They serve beef and pork inside their kitchen so not fit for even hindus or even muslims.. U cant even drink water there or not even be able to have thier breakfast. Second issue is you cant bare having food outside.. Nearest food plave is 200 mtrs the cliff which is very very expensive a cup of tea for 200. Nearest food you will will be 4 kms at mall road. Landour is top of the hill so you cant even walk.. Even if u Think to go by car traffic of mall road will take hours.. So if u bare eating beef and pork then its most economical and best hotel.. I will love the hotel if they stop serving beef n pork..

Perfect!! Perfect!!

Domas inn is the most reasonable place to stay in landour. By that I mean, it is value for money. If you want to get away from the hustle bustle of the city, then landour is a much better option than Mussoorie. Domas have the perfect rooms, and in your budget. We have stayed here so many times that we're familiar with all the rooms they have. The family room with attic is definitely nice but the best one is the one accessible from outside, with lots of windows and ventilation. One thing we felt was missing here was good ventilation in the rooms. Also it would be nice to add some Indian delicacies to their menu.

We, a family of 4, stayed in the double bunked family room. The ambiance was very calm and the service was homelike. The Tibetan food served at Doma's was really good and the stay was enhanced by the display of tibetan art work on the walls and ceilings. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very well located. * Just the fact that rooms on the lower floor need better ventilation. Rest the stay will be great.

Demo Trip Take deluxe room though privacy may be a problem. IVY bank and cliff cotage are nearby accommodation options.
