We decided to take a break from the noise and smog of New Delhi and had been recommended by the US embassy to use this outfit for hotel and rafting. We were not disappointed. The service was stellar from the pick up at the airport to the dining, to the detail paid when organizing the itinerary. They are also flexible and very friendly. We booked the rafting with their sister company and would recommend it to anyone. The rooms are spacious and the food is simply amazing. You will be full after every meal. Good people, good times.
My family and I had the most fun weekend here and can not wait to return. The lodge is so picturesque and we had two connecting rooms with a gorgeous view straight over the forest and down to the Ganges. Ganesh was a brilliant and very capable guide and took us on 3 rafting expeditions as well as for a very scenic trek along the water's edge and up into one of the nearby villages. The food was delicious too and a very well thought out blend of western and Indian. Nothing was too much for the staff. We were totally amazed by the place, the warmth, the hospitality and the general helpfulness of all the staff.
We had a group meeting at this location and were delighted with the great level of service in every aspect. Food was great. The location is beautiful. We had campfires each night. Rooms are comfortable. Two great afternoons of rafting. Two mornings of yoga. Just a wonderful time at Himalayan Hideaway. I would make 2 suggestions to them: 1) provide more places to hang clothes because you can't put them outside due to the monkeys; 2) make a more suitable path down to the water so your guests can enjoy it more.
My friend and I went to Shivpuri, Rishikesh this weekend for Marathon Organized by 'Running and Living'. Stay was at Himalayan Hideaways. The name is apt. Even though it's right next to main road, it's rooms and cottages are much below. You won't see them from reception. Rooms have their own balconies, neat and clean bathrooms, cozy atmosphere, arrangements for Bon Fire and what I found the best - sound of Ganges down there. U feel as if u r far away from the maddening civilization. Jungle and hills and river! And then there are polite and helpful housekeeping and delicious food. Finally, the ever smiling and ever helping manager of the place, Prabhdeep. They arrange for adventure sports, jungle camping, treks, expeditions. This place is one to visit - not just once! 5/5
We loved this place! We love the people who work here...starting with Perbhdeep and Ganesh and Manoj and others on staff. Service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The rooms are very comfortable. The setting is just perfect. We weren't just here on holiday but for a company retreat. This Lodge had perfect facilities for our meetings. Now, a number of us, are plotting how to get back for a holiday.
