SUMAN from Mussoorie, India recommends this hotel Posted:  Room Quality: 3/5 Service Quality: 3/5 Dining Quality: 3/5 Cleanliness: 3/5

We were not offered Deluxe type rooms as promised rather we were shifted in their staff quarter as they have not received information about our booking from their front office. A lot of confusion and wastage of time for customer.

V resort mussoorie , worst experience V resort mussoorie , worst experience

by dakshsimi on December 29, 2016

It's my 4th experience with v resorts. My 1st experience was in ramnagar, 2nd in Sattal, 3rd in rajaji national park all were a fantastic experience but I'm upset with v resorts mussoorie . The staff and the manager are really kind and food is really tasty. The rooms are really bad and small and also the resort is 30km away from mussoorie which takes 45 mins from mussoorie especially on mountains and there is no tv in the rooms and no fun zone for kids The property is located by a beautiful scenery. But this property needs to improve and no recommendation for family from my side.

Idyllic place away from the madness Idyllic place away from the madness

This place needs a proper review. If you want 5 star hotel like services, this is not the place to be and neither it is expected for a price of 3.5k for a night. It is managed by a guy named Yogesh and he is very friendly to the point that he will keep calling you until you reach the resort. Don't be freaked out by his concern, its perfectly genuine as the place is secluded. There are 2 cottages and 2 other rooms in the property encapsulated between mango, kiwi, grape and rudraksh trees. You would feel like living in a forest. The food options are not many and you have to give order in much advance as supplies are to be procured from Mussoorie. I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking nothing but peace.

1. The Resort is located far away from main Mussoorie city but it was not told during the booking 2. There was no travel arrangement from the resort as a result we were almost stuck inside the room for 3 days Suggestions: 1. Resort should have one car with driver. So that guests can utilize that paying the reasonable amount 2. The weather in Mussoorie is extremely hot in May. The rooms should be fitted with AC or cooler. Best Parts of the Resorts 1. Hospitality - Starting from manager each and everyone, care takers, cook, each & every persons are so good, caring, go extra miles to satisfy us. They always stood back of us and ensured our comforts. They are excellent people and because of them only we stayed happily 3 nights 2. Food - the cook was awesome. We enjoyed the food heavily

Perfect Blend of Nature and Hospitality (Staff only) Perfect Blend of Nature and Hospitality (Staff only)

I travelled a lot in 2015 and wanted to close the year with the perfect place separate from crowd. I choosed Kasauli first but later on I got a deal on GroupOn for Mussoorie from V Resort. I searched on Internet and found they have good chain of properties around the world and in India too. Well, I booked the resort for 2 nights 3 days package which cost me around 11k (inclusive meals) {A expensive deal} but I kept it go. I knew the hotel was not in Mussoorie and its 17-19 km away. The journey was find by car from Delhi to Mussoorie or even till Kempty fall, but the road gets narrow and cliffs become more dangerous after that. Somehow I reached to hotel on around 5 PM evening. My first expression is "OK" the look of hotel was not that much resort type, Then I moved to the cottages which are separated from he main hall and location (A bit scary) because there were 2 main cottages plus 2 single occupancy cottages around them. It was totally feeling of jungle and scary. The lights in room or the structure of cottages was not well maintained, it was too dark. Room was so much cold and the amenities of room are very dull. Heaters was not loading up because their inverters are damaged, they had limited blankets limited all the things. I think higher manager are such an big salary eater who don't look the success of this beautiful property. After all such negative feelings and things there are some or I should say many positive sides which are : 1 - A young enthusiastic manager - Manoj : I should say he is very young very intelligent, helpful, a great situation handler and a futuristic leader. Just call him anytime you will be pleased to have word with him. 2- A Mind Blastic Staff: Let me say this very loud: Manoj or V resort Mussoorie has gems in their bucket. Nautial, Narender, Chef Parihar and all other staff were so much helpful that I can explain in words. They were so quick in every work that they complete it with full passion and hard work. They just wanted to see you smile in every aspect. I was so much delighted with their hospitality that I can't express in words here. But I wish they will do in future like the same. I would go V resort again in future just because of them. I don't 3 born fire every time late night I asked for more woods and within a minute they give it to me and help me to burn it. - 3 Fruit picking and Tracking (Site visiting) - Well I would say that was the extra features in package. The location itself have around 50+ Gooseberry and 30+ lemon tree, grapes are also there because the location was a Ashram before and these fruits were used for medicine. Narender took us for tracking to Yamuna bridge from a shortcut from down from cottages. He is so much happy to took us and he told stories with so much interest which was a nice timepass for 1 hr tracking. After that he took us to a natural floor mill made by water stream. I seen two family who cancelled their 3 N package to only 1 N after visit because they were cheated by saying they had family rooms. But even though they cancelled Manoj and his staff gave 100% to make them happy but they are also helpless because they do not have necessary things like heaters, electricity, or blankets to give them just because of under budget and bad management. You can check their Visitors book. If i am wrong. Hence please dont book family rooms until their property got changed completely. Ask Manoj, or Site manager before booking. Well all in final my trip was good and saved by the staff of V resort mussoorie with their hospitality. Otherwise it was hell to go their without a heater and other amenities you would fall in real danger of cold. I would say just because of bad higher management this property was ignored and when sales executive sale the package and customer felt cheated when they see that what kind of facilities they got in higher price. Hence a nice suggestion: change your idiot higher management and cut their salaries, do something good for property.
