I stayed here for 3 nights and it was a very very relaxing trip.
To start off with the experience wasn't very good with room service, however after the initial road block it was a very good trip.
Rooms are nicely made, hotel has an amazing view of the valley and Mussoorie.
They have an evening activity with snacks for all guests.
Morning breakfast spread is very good and chefs are very attentive and keen to serve anything as per your need!
Overall it was a very good experience and I wish to go back soon.
We (me, my wife & my 8 year old daughter) planned to visit this hotel on the occasion of Valentine day. I must say, it was a memorable stay.
Right from the check in, to the food quality, the service, hotel interiors, everything scores 10/10.
It took has hardly 1 minute to check in, & the check in procedure was very smooth. The staff made us sign all the documents (for check in) in our room only & we didn't have to wait at the reception at all. Our room was allotted, well in advance & even our early check in request for entertained.
The hotel has a play area, on the ground floor, wherein they have 2 bowling alleys, lots of machine games like car racing, merry go round for the kids & leisure games like chess, ludo etc.
The b'fast menu in the b'fast is nice & wide. We had our b'fast as well as dinner at the JW cafe, the all day dining restaurant on the 3rd floor. It's a huge restaurant, with indoor & outdoor sitting, overlooking valley. The staff at the restaurant is very much courteous. In courtesy, I would rate this Hotel 10/10 & probably best among any Marriott property I have stayed so far. To name a few, Atul, Siddharth, Dinesh, Manish Yadav (Restaurant Manager) & Jaswant Singh Chauhan (The pastry Chef), went out of the way also, to serve us. We could never hear a "No" from them, be it anything. The heart shaped pastries made by Jaswant Singh Chauhan, especially on the valentine day, were mind blowing.
You enter the hotel from the 4th floor, as the landscaping is done beautifully at the hotel. So, the lobby is on the 4th floor itself.
The indoor swimming pool on the 2nd floor is also nice & serene. The view of the mountains, right from the swimming pool is very nice. Right across the main swimming pool, they do have a small splash pool for the children as well. Though the steam & sauna rooms could be a little bigger.
The evening hi-tea from 3-4 pm was also good & refreshing, as the same was planned in the lawn next to the green house. Along with the hitea, we got to play badminton & golf putting with Manish. He was really helpful, as he made our daughter learn golf putting really quick.
On the occasion of Valentine Day, Mr. Manish Yadav (Restaurant Manager) also helped us in getting our rooms decorated, with flowers & balloons. He helped us in making our day. Also, when we asked him for some breads/butter to be sent to our room, post dinner for our daughter, he got that sent across, along with a few pastries.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. We stayed for 2 nights, & didn't feel like going out of the hotel. So, we would recommend this hotel for anyone, whos is looking for a short break, at a luxury hotel, with beautiful weather & view.
This has been the nicest experience for me as far as a trip to the hills is concerned. The property is concealed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The experience here was worth every single penny.
I would definitely love to come here again and again. The view of the hill ranges is worth experiencing.
I would suggest all travellers to opt for the rooms with a valley view. This place is the true meaning of richness and luxury.
We went for 3 nights stay.
The time we had there was not only joyful but extremely amazing.
The weather, location staff food each and every aspect was great to cherish.
Will definitely plan for the same again.
Climbing up up and up by car to reach this hotel was more than worth it. The road was scary at time but so stunning you'd forget the dangers. Once we arrived at the hotel we were greeted the same way most clients at any JW are greeted.
Although the wedding had booked 40 or so rooms, we were given a room with only half the stunning view, the other was on the building and rooftop and where we were the first room on the left from the lobby so a lot of passage and noise in the morning. The food at the different restaurants were splendid and delicious and the care the waiters gave us was five star. Recommendation: take a couple days, go hiking and biking if you like that, take walks and most importantly relax and enjoy the most stunning view from the sunny rooftop of the main building.
