We stayed at the White House for two weeks between the 27th Jan and 13th Feb. It had been at least five years since we last stayed here due to choosing to holiday in different countries. We were well remembered by Alex and Dina who were once again the perfect hosts. We didn't have to ask for anything as all our needs were perfectly provided. Exceptionally clean rooms, regular change of bedding and towels etc. The location and upkeep of the grounds are exceptional. We were able to choose how to settle our accommodation bill either in Pound Sterling or Indian Rupee. If I had to quibble, I would say the internet connection wasn't great in the room where we stayed. However, having a two week break from home/ work etc this wasn't much of an issue. TV's are provide in rooms if you want to catch up on worldly news. When we did access the Internet we sneakily logged on to a hotel directly next to ours and all was good! Thank you Alex and Dina for your amazing kindness and hospitality and hopefully see you very soon!
We returned to goa after a 6 year gap and glad we chose to stay at the whitehouse
The owners Dina and Alex are amazing. They greeted us when we arrived at 3.30 am in the morning and were there to say goodbye at 1.30 am , even though we told them not too. They are a lovely family and nothing is too much trouble
Everything was the same as we remembered, with the added bonus of a/c now
The rooms are cleaned daily with clean towels and sheets changed regularly too
The resort is two minutes walk to the beach and all the restaurants on holiday street
We will return to are favourite room in 2019, the big one at the top right hand side
Dina and Alex if you read this , thank you for another great stay
Neal and Johnny
Booked again for the seventh time. For us the location is perfect. Near the beach, restaurants and shops. Everyone in the area is so friendly.
The rooms are large and very clean with a lovely balcony. Cleaned everyday. Always get fresh sheets and towels.
Laura is lovely and will do anything for you.
Perfect roll on November.
Booked 3 rooms for over xmas and new year, was told we would be in the annexe part of the Whitehouse. We were told we could pay rupees or card, upon arrival we were told no card payments would be accepted , Dina the very rude and aggresive landlady told us we would have to go and find over 2000 worth of rupees to pay her bill, as she wasnt prepared to bay the tax on card payments, given the current money situation in India we were faced with an impossible task, after a few days we approached her and explained that unless she could take either card or Sterling as payment, we would unfortunately have to move out to alternative accomodation, at this point she began screaming and shouting at me, pointing her finger in my face ,lunging towards me as if she were going to attack me, it was very upsetting. Eventually she relented and allowed 2 rooms to be paid in Sterling and 1 room to be paid by card, via the jewellers shop opposite. The rooms for 10 days over xmas and new yr worked out at 49.50 per room per night, the remaining 11 days worked out at 40 per room per night, extremely over priced, very basic, very noisy, very dirty , stained smelly, bed linen hardly any hot water and an extremely rude landlady to boot. This person should not be dealing with the general public, she is a liability to the family business. We are aware that we aren't the only customers she has been aggresive towards, they also through pure greed are damaging their business, they charged 1800rps for an airport pick up for 3 people, the most you should ever pay to calangute is 1200 and that includes a tip.
The room rate for A/c was 2000/- per night however there wasnt any soap, paste etc kept in the bathroom. one gone inside the room, no communication with the owner. In this age world there is CRT TV in room where hardly any channel.. The room are clean, its good to stay, very near to beach however for the prize which we pay there is hardly anything we get except for the room..
