I was waiting to share my experiences about your service and the Hotel. 1) I had made a booking through travel guru in Feb 09 for my friend who visited Munnar for his honeymoon. When he reached the hotel he found that Travel Guru had not intimated the hotel about his booking and he had to spend one hour at the hotel reception and I was continuously over the phone with travle guru and my friend at the reception. Finally the hotel recomended by travel guru also had a bad service. 2) Now recently I made a booking for myself and my family at Maurya Recidency for 3 rooms. My experience with Travel guru was horrible. I received 3 calls from Travel Guru asking me about my check-in time and I told them I would check in at 1.00 noon. But when I reached hotel at 1.00 noon I found that there was only one room available and other 2 rooms would be given to me at 4.00 in afternoon. I questioned the reception politely but I received a harsh answer that we have informed Travel Guru and if they have not informed u then its your problem with Traveg Guru. Me as a global traveller was shocked at this type of rude answer and tone from the reception of the hotel. I was offered these rooms in another hotel of Maurya after 3.00 O'clock noon. I could get the only one room at arrival that too not in the hotel I booked. I called Travel Guru thrice but i have still not received any phone call, appology or answers to my questions I spoke over the phone. There was no complaint number provided to me at any instance during these 3 calls and even when i asked for it. I was always told that the systems are down. Travel guru has not given me any reason to do business with you either personally of any corporate deal. Mere formalities of sending and receiving mails are not enough of retain customers. The market is very competitive and customer lost can cause big damage to the image of the business. Regards, Sameer

Location: Centrally located hotel just opposite to Mysore Palace. From the hotel place you can cover all important places by taking tonga, auto or bus. All major attractions are near to the hotel. Parking: There is no covered parking but can be parked on the road allocated for car parking. Busy season you may find parking problem. Food: The hotel has veg. restaurant. There are many non-veg. restaurant near by. We enjoyed North Indian food. Though little over priced but the taste is excellent. Since restaurant is not big you have to be in the restaurant well in time otherwise you may not get seat in peak season. Rooms: Neat & clean though small for 4 members of my family but manageable. Price: Reasonable for 4 members of my family. Additional beds were added with nominal price. Entertainment: There are two cinema theaters around this hotel. Overall: Good place to stay in. The surrounding area is good. I will stay again if I get a chance to go Mysore.

I stayed in this hotel many times, its one of the excellent hotels in Mysore. Great service with good food. It is located in the heart of the city. I would like to stay in the same hotel in future.

Hotel is located in the heart of the city. Staffs were very decent and quick in their work. The food was very nice in taste. On my next visit to Mysore I would certainly stay in this hotel again. Rooms were very good in looking.

stay was very good , rooms are well maintained, staff services are very good. food was tasty....the manager mr nayer was too good , he helped us a lot and he had given us the rooms before check in time , that too free of cost, we had check in the hotels 5 hrs before, but the manager didnt ask for any charges , he was very humble by his words...

I booked the hotel through It's location is so close to the Sub Urban KSRTC bus stand and Mysore Palace. The rooms are spacious and also spic and span. There was a problem to attend the power outage from the staff which they took 45 min to fix it. May be an odd problem. Their complementary breakfast is vegetarian and it's okay. Overall I can say this hotel is VFM

This hotel is one of my favourite hotels in mysore. I have stayed here more than 6 times in the last few years Neat decent, good location, good restaurant and best thing is service is too good Only draw back is parking is on the road

Our room was good and the location was great however the breakfast was disappointing. But we had a comfortable bed and the reception staff were very helpful with helping us to arrange transport and giving directions.

I have been staying in Hotel Maurya Residency for the past over 5 years during my trips to Mysore. The Hotel has been maintaining Good Standards of Hygiene and Cleanliness. The Staff are very Courteous. The Buffet Breakfast has a very good range and the food is tasty, typical of Karnataka! Generally I make booking directly with the Hotel. However, this time I did Booking thro' Make My Trip website due to their Offer of Special Discount of Rs 1,500/- for 3 Night's Stay. (The Offer Package however did not include Complimentary B'Fast). The Location is Central close to Bus & Railway Stations. It is always worth staying in the Property and real value for Money spent!
