We had to stay in this hotel because we all had gone as a part of marriage party.Rooms given to us were small in size and we could barely accomodate our baggage. From the lobby, rooms looked like it was new,but once you enter the room ,things weredifferent. Our window was blocked by sound barrier,in another room, luggage table/stand was broken and hence bags had to be kept on floor. We only ordered coffee from restaurant and it was quite good.Only complaint is restaurant starts service at 7.30 am only.No newspaper was sent to the rooms. This hotel is convenient for those who are in transit andwant to avoid traffic within city.
Vistied with family during last year.
Compared to other Hotels price is too high.
rooms looks okay but too much noisy. Funny thing is that they will not give you the receipts. I have asked multiple times for hotel bill, they told they will give but finally not given. I called even multiple times but no reply.
I thought of submitting these bills for LTA to claim tax exemption.
They will not accept card payment during exit time. Finally I feel bad for the above issues.
The bed sheets and the towels were not clean, the toilets not upto the mark. Room service utensils are not cleared even after reminder, staff are not trained, though a budget hotel could have been maintained better. The cleanliness in restaurant is also not so good, since it is next to the highway it is full most of the time. The hotel rooms were not full. There is no parking for vehicle.
We stayed in RajMahal Inn Mysore for a night (May 30). Idea was to complete some work we had + roam about (mysore ZOO, palace...) in and around the city.
This hotel fit the bill, as the price provided by Goibibo was awsome + the value for the price provided by the hotel was matchless.
Hotel is situated right on the Mysore-Hunsur Highway and is about 8-10 km from city center (mysore being a small city) which wasn't bad. It used to take 10-12 mininutes to reach city center.
Hotel was quite nicely maintained, it looked like a new hotel or may be it was kept maintained. Though a small hotel, it was made sure nice interiors and cleanliness was maintained. The Room was spacious and they used hight quality interiors right from bed, linens, study table, cane chairs to table lamps. Thumbs up there.
Hotel didn't had its own restaurent, but I heard they had rented out its ground floor area for a restaurent. Greens Food court, I must say it had awsome food. Right from south indian to North to Chinese to different varieties of deserts (3 pages). And all of them were good. You can imagine, in a small city like mysore, the restaurent was almost always full during lunch/dinner time and that too during weekdays (Monday-Tuesday).
Couple of issues though:
- We knew that the breakfast was outsource to some other hotel/caterer which was to be served as a part of package. It was bad! Ideally, they could have sourced the breakfast from the Greens Food Court, and charged a bit may be...
- Room in general was clean, however, there were couple of Empty beer bottles in the cupboard. Which I think the Room service didn't clean. Minor issue, didn't caused any discomfort. But should be take care off.
Hotel Tip: If you like veg food, don't try anywhere else. Greens food court has covered it all.
We booked a Standard room through Make My Trip (MMT) as we were two adults and two kids (aged 12 & 7). We could manage to locate the hotel without much issue.
This hotel does not have covered car park nor place for Drivers to take rest though they have separate bath & toilet facilities for Drivers. There is enough parking space in front of the hotel or by the adjoining lane and hence parking should not be an issue.
Right from Security Guard, Front office staff and Room Boys, all were polite and friendly. Initially we were given a small room which was so cramped that we had to literally squeeze through the gap between the Cot and Television. When we occupied the room, the television was in a disconnected state and when we called the reception to get this fixed, the Manager of the property (Mr. Karthik) came on his own, introduced himself and offered to move us to a bigger and better room. The changed room was quite big and it was convenient. The room, bed and bathroom were clean. There were enough lights (modern LED lamps) & plug points to plug in multiple devices at the same time.
Air-conditioning was good. Room had good sunlight. Best part is the hotel had a big attached restaurant serving Vegetarian food (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner). The food quality was above average to good and it was very cheap as well. The service in the restaurant was very fast and efficient. Only catch is complimentary breakfast is not 100% complimentary. Each person is eligible for having breakfast up to the value of Rs.75/- per day. Anything above this is charged, but given the cheap prices, one would not end up with a huge bill. Breakfast is available from 7.30 am.
This hotel is slightly far from main attraction like Palace or Zoo (about 5 to 6 KM), but it is away from crowded places which is an advantage.
I interacted with Manager Karthik as well as the Proprietor of the Property Mr. Sujith Kumar. Both were very polite and friendly. Both gave me lot of guidance on how to organize my travel from Mysore to Coorg and gave information on places of interest on the way.
Though the hotel had free wi-fi, one has to get a coupon which is valid for connecting only one device for 24 hours. The procedure to connect is also a bit more complicated compared to other hotel. This could be an area of improvement.
I am not sure if my feedback would have been the same if I had stay put in the room that was initially allotted to me.
