Good facilities and rooms with a great view!
A wide choice of outdoor activities make this resort a good family outing destination.
The housekeeping was efficient and the property upkeep was good. The fruit bearing trees within the property were a welcome sight.
Room service offerings could be improved by including mini meals and wider choices. The prices were on the higher end.
A slightly disturbing phenomena was loud music in the swimming pool party area for outdoor parties. To their credit the resort imposed the 10: 00 p. M. d
All in all,a nice place for families, groups and kids for a vacation.
In June 3rd week during kids summer vacations, we planned fairly long stay i.e. 4 nights and 5 days in Bhimtal at property called Aamod at Bhimtal. Distance was close to 350 kms from Gurgaon and we reached there by road in almost 8 hrs via Ghaziabad-Hapur-Moradabad-Bajpur-Kaladungi-Haldwani-Kathgodam-Bhimtal. There are some bottlenecks like under construction flyovers, traffic jams till Hapur but after that youll find wide roads (good condition) till Moradabad. From Moradabad to Kathgodam youll find single road but easy to drive. Distance from Kathgodam to Bhimtal is approximately 25 kms and it takes 1 hr due to drive uphill.
My ratings for Aamod at Bhimtal on following parameters:
Location: 4.5/5 (Easy to find as its close to Naldamyanti Taal, however will advise to use GPS. Road to resort is narrow but achievable.)
Ambience: 4.5/5 (Nice ambience with greenery, adventurous activities, ample parking space and swimming pool)
Staff: 4.5/5 (Good, courteous and supportive staff.)
Food: 4/5 (They served good food.)
Cleanliness: 3.5/5 (Ok job, although difficult to manage due to the Hill area)
Maintenance: 3.5/5 (Needs improvement)
Overall stay was comfortable and pleasant.
Room and bathroom get 4 stars on comfort and functionality.
We had a lake facing room but monkeys menace prevents you from sitting out in balcony during morning time.
Restaurant staff was good and they offered good discount as well on food.
They have a great activity zone which include some adventure sports (all paid).
Few indoor activities like carom, TT are free.
Nearby places visited:
Sattal (Amazing and beautiful. Boating is must),
Bhimtal (Beautiful but crowded)
Naukuchiyatal(Beautiful and great boating experience)
Nainital (Approximately 19 Kms and must go for Mall road and boating)
Mukteshwar (Approximately 40 Kms, Breathtaking view throughout the trip, Must to Chauli ki Jali and mukteshwar Dham.)
Bhalu Gaad Waterfall: (Must go. On the way to Bhimtal while coming back from Mukteshwar. Rocky path to reach to waterfall through the jungle with unforgettable experience)
We visited Aamod at Bhimtal last week and stayed there for 4 days. It is a nice place to stay with family. The staff is quite courteous and they make the stay very comfortable. They took the feedback very positively and made sure that we only took great memories from there. It has nice cottages, highly recommended for couples. It offers outside activities as well as indoor activities. Swimming pool is an attraction. Cabs are available from the hotel to Nainital and nearby areas, but one should ask the concierge for the arrangements 1-2 days before your planned excursions.
Recommended for families and couples!
