The hotel is located 2 km before namakkal on trichy namakkal road opp to nala hotels. the hotel is huge with good parking space. our room was neat ,clean and spacious(20 feet x 20 feet) , so were the bath. As we left early could not comment on their restaurant. check in check out was hassle free.

For a small town like Namakkal, Golden palace offers a spacious rooms but not a clean and well maintained rooms. No problem for parking, ample space and outdoor garden gets some attraction to this place. When we visited there was an outdoor shoot of newly married couple in the hotel park. This is more of a transit place in a town and cannot expect luxury. Price is above average slightly. Expect crowd fills on a muhurtham days.

Very Bad amenities. Not worth to stay. Very bad service. No cleanliness in the rooms expect the room size is big. Will never stay next time in this hotel. Even saw the big insects in the Bathroom. Even the food is also not good

Stayed here for 3 nights last weekend. I will list the pros and cons. Pros: Location, plenty of parking, large room, friendly staff (not professional - I will come to this later) Cons: Stinky hallways, because I couldn't see any ventilation. No covered parking. Untrained staff. Limited food menu. Hot water pressure not good. Details: Food was not bad, but the menu was very limited, though they list every possible item in their room service menu card. Even the basic tiffin item Idly or Dosa wasn't available for dinner. Only Mini idli was available (only on one day) and we came to know later that it was because of the party left over. One day, paneer was strong like a rubber (eraser). Next day, no paneer dishes, because paneer wasn't available. AC was a problem from the day of check-in and completely stopped working on the 2nd day just when we started to sleep. Though we were offered a free suite upgrade, being with family it was not an option for us to do it that late. No AC that night. To make things worse, lot of noise from employees in the hallway and to top them all, a room service guy knocked at 10:00 p.m. in the night asking us to sign an invoice for a coffee that we had in the evening. Very unprofessional. None of the staff bothered to wait after they knock the door. They just try to enter the room by turning the door knob and pushing the door. I had to shout about this to 4 of their staff. Twice the employees just opened the door and walked in, because we didn't have it locked. I have never ever seen any hotel employee in the world behaving like this. Another day when we were leaving out, an employee in the reception called (literally shouted) me when I had almost walked out of the reception area. He should have come to me if it was anything. When I came near, he asked me if I was going to the swimming "fool". I had similar incidents like this thru my stay. When the hotel is advertised as a 3 star hotel and charge that kind of a room tariff, there is nothing wrong to expect basic amenities and properly trained staff. Do not expect a buffet, though they advertise free complimentary buffet breakfast. Idly, Dosa and bread omlet were the only items that we were able to order. The reason told was because of very less number of guests in the hotel. Waiter said that they had watermelon juice, but later on brought Rasna pineapple juices (without even asking us or apologizing). My 10 year old son said, "What? They just bring whatever they like without even asking us". In spite of all, I would appreciate the kindness of the staff. They were quick for every request of my room service. Suite upgrade for the 3rd day was really helpful. Had dinner twice at a restaurant in Hotel Nalas, which is right opposite to this hotel. Next time, I would prefer to stay there.

Stayed at this hotel in mid february 2015. checkin was not very smooth because of a large crowd gathered for some function next to reception. Room ambience and furnishing was good. Room service is a bit slow. We had complimentary breakfast which was very ordinary. Airconditioning is ok. Overall a good hotel but considering their services and location, a tad expensive
