The two of us recently spent a long romantic weekend in this hotel, and indeed we had a memorable stay that was amazing for us. We would recommend this hotel very highly. But first, some things that can be improved: 1) Reservations showed poor job knowledge when it was insisted that I get my Canadian passport for ID proof, a copy of which they would forward to FRRO ... simply refusing to listen when I said that I am also an Indian citizen carrying an Indian passport, which by itself is enough! Also Ramla was unable to answer clearly if I needed to follow up with an email to her, and was quite unprofessional in her approach. 2) I later spoke with Priya from reservations, who was more efficient & polite with us. But later when we arrived for checkin we wasted a lot of time because we were assigned the wrong room twice, with the front desk agent (Khushboo) in the end asking us what kind of room we had booked!! This makes it clear that there is a huge communication gap between reservations and front office. We were later told that Khushboo is new, but then why was no one looking over her shoulder & volunteering to help her out, plus why did reservations not ensure that all bookings get passed on and understood properly? A second example of this gap was when we were later charged more than what Priya had confirmed, leading to wasting more time. 3) We phoned room service one night, and were at once told that a man would come to our room in 2 minutes to help us order from the menu! After 25 minutes of waiting we phoned again, and now someone else said he did not know who had spoken with us earlier. The hotel should stop random people from answering phones and causing such delays. 4) It takes long to get an auto in the dusty road outside the hotel, so it would really be nice if at times the hotel could offer to drop the guests off to the nearest station or movie theatre, more so if the guest is a woman. Now the great stuff: i) The premium room in which we stayed was fantastic! It was neat and beautiful and had a great view. The washroom, which came with an awesome bathtub, was one of the best I have ever used. Indeed the hotel is overall very classy! ii) The food, the buffet range, and the service were extremely good all the time. iii) Nearly all staff were very friendly, smart & efficient. In particular Duty Managers Kiran and Sonal (who went out of their way to make up for all shortcomings), and Abhishek from F&B, stand out with their very helpful nature.
