I recently stayed in Vashi Inn as part of a package provided by a noted travel provider. For the price paid, the room was well worth it. Located on the main Vashi Road, Vashi Inn is around 1.5 km from Vashi Station and even closer to the highway. One needs to enter Raikar Bhavan and climb 3 floors to reach. The building also has a lift, but it did not always work.
The room was decent, but the cleaning was not quite up to the mark. The bathroom was small, but manageable. Breakfast options were few, but the quantity and quality of the items was decent. The staff were, by and large, quite friendly and responsive. The WiFi, though, was hit and miss. Speeds were slow at times and there were also a couple of outages during the time of my stay.
All in all, for someone looking for a budget stay in Vashi at a very well-connected area, the Vashi Inn is an option to consider.
If you're staying for just a night and don't want to spend too much, this hotel is adequate. It's on the 3rd floor of Raikar Bhavan. I lived in Vashi for years and never knew that it existed. Found it because I was staying for a night and didn't want to spend a lot on the other pricey hotels. If you only need to sleep for a few hours here it's fine. The free breakfast is served in your room and it consists of upma, idli, bread, butter/jam and tea/coffee. When we first checked in, the bathroom was dirty, so they changed our room. They forgot to keep soap. But the AC and bed are comfortable and I slept well. The location is the best part because it is central to Vashi and near Navratna restaurant.
So a friend booked us rooms here through the OYO rooms app. The location overall is easy but as the inn is on 3rd floor it's very difficult to make out from the main road as the board is not visible. Here is my recount of the experience:
Unclean: The room was clean, can't stay that much for the bathroom. It had cockroaches crawling all over which just was so unhygienic. Because of which they used to crawl out in the room as well.
Poor service: Service was very poor. Our friends at the other room received complimentary water bottles & soap, shampoo etc. whereas we received nothing and had to ask for it. Also, a hotel room should always provide bathroom slippers.
Breakfast: They had a few set complimentary options everyday including idli, dosas, medu vada, toast and jam, tea & coffee. We could choose anything and order from the above range. It was decent nothing that great. There are good restaurants nearby as well if one wants something else.
Location: The location even though on the main road with many amenities nearby is not really family friendly. Why do I say so? There is a bar just opposite the inn which used to be open till late night. Once while coming back to our room, an alcoholic man from the bar got into a brawl with someone on the way. It was just an unpleasant scene which kids should particularly not encounter. Even I as a dressed up lady felt unsafe with the whole encounter.
Accessibility: Very easy & convenient accessibility to groceries, restaurants, retail outlets, salons etc. Even rickshaws are easy to find from the lay by.
I don't recommend staying here until and unless you really have absolutely no other option to stay in the area.
The hotel is on third floor. Autorickshaw charge Rs. 20 from Vashi Rly. Station. The hotel is at 3rd floor but lift is available. The receptionist,, a Bengali, is a nice man and he tries to accommodate to the extent required. The hotel has these small rooms (booked through yatra- indigo deal). Though the room is small and bathroom is even smaller but overall cleanliness is OK according to price. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant but the food is available nearby. There is a mcdonald where you can enjoy some Allo Tikki Burger and ice cream with chocolate at a reasonable price. Overall, the hotel is well connected, not much problem. AC in this small room makes a high noise and traffic at night has a disturbing effect on the person staying.
