Its a nice neat smartly laid out hotel,,liked the room interiors with modern fixctures & furniture,,, we would like to stay here again. But the kitchen is not upto the mark,,, food is not good rather sad,,, Food is flavour less & not properly served also. needs lot of improvemnt in kitchen & food;;;

There was a problem with early check-in, they charged extra 50%, despite I emailed them about this before we arrived, and they confirmed the regular price. At check out however, they were arguing and asking extra 50%!!! be aware!

Location is not very much impressive. Hard to locate this hotel by local auto rickshaw or taxi. Expensive room rate but clean and comfortable.

We stayed at the Avalon Courtyard in 2010 when it seemed quite new and was very nice. It's still quite OK, but looks and feels a bit tired. It needs freshening up. It now caters to Japanese guests and there's a Japanese restaurant on site. Breakfast is Japanese, Western and Indian with eggs available on order. The hotel is in a pretty seedy part of town, so there's no incentive to go for a walk, though there is a little supermarket about 50 metres away. We wanted to use an ATM and were directed to a bank (Indiabank?) that could be reached through piles of rubble and by walking across planks. It didn't accept my international cards. I'd give the Avalon 3.5 stars. It's still not a bad place to stay overnight. I'd stay there again.

We visited this hotel as part of an exchange trip with a group of students. Location would be OK if you were a furniture salesperson, otherwise nothing close by! On arrival rooms were spread out around the hotel which was not acceptable for a school trip, rooms need to be at least on the same floor. Key cards didn't work in doors and the machine had broke, so getting into rooms meant a trip to reception. Food was of a poor standard, with little choice. No central meetings areas and if you wanted an extortionately priced drink you had to sit in the restaurant. Pool is tiny and ice cold. Felt like we were in Japan in the middle of India, very weird set up!

While the approach road is depressing, the hotel is a revelation. All rooms are suites and well appointed and clean. Staff are polite, friendly and gentle and there is a high percentage of Japanese clients. They even have a Japanese desk and restaurant while all notices are posted in Japanese. Nice compact Gym and a dip tank for a pool. The Atrium provides nice natural light to the lobby but do not look for a room with aview

The Hotel is located in Sultanpur which is outskirts of Delhi part of the tour package , The hotel caters to Japanese tourist only, most of them are long term bases.All the hotel signs are marked in Japanese. Rooms are fairly ok made up of cheap looking furniture. Old TV's and cables hanging around. Bed was hard , but clean bedsheets and pillow covers. Had a small Kitchen with kettle and plates in case you need to make food. The hotel lacks parking nor a proper road to enter the hotel., no view from the room.

The location of the hotel is very deceptive, however once at the hotel our experience was contrary to our expectations! Very professional and efficient service. Clean and well maintained hotel. The dishes at the Japanese restaurant were a bit pricey but the quality of the Indian food was good! Will definitely use again when visiting Delhi!
