As always the Reens did what they could to make everything pleasant. They booked buses in advance, they arranged the airport transfers and they provided us with the latest news about delhi. Also, the rooms were comfortable, quiet and clean and the breakfast was delicious and more than enough.
Stayed at B&B@Reens for 4 days while travelling to Delhi for a wedding. Very convenient as Metro Station and market with eateries are at walking distance. As attending a wedding in Delhi, there was no issue with our odd time coming & going as per wedding schedule. Reens managed our timing very well. Break-fast options of Parathas and Continental options met our requirements. Reens were always there to advise on any local travel arrangement. Reens made all efforts to make out stay a memorable one.
The B&B was a nice little surprise while traveling to Delhi for a wedding. The room was a good size and clean. The bathroom was attached and a kitchen was available if wanted to make anything ourselves. Breakfast was excellent too -- paratas and omelettes. The Reens were attentive to our schedule and also were generous with attention when I got a little ill from all the activities/jet lag and helped me get mended for the wedding reception. Would definitely suggest to others looking for a place to stay in North Delhi.
Admittedly, I am a man with few expectations and it doesn't take much to please me. That being said, I fully understand the requirements and standards which are to be met for any service provider to attain a high rating. When I experience the same in practice, I am no more or less surprised than the next person and leading to the imminent arrival at this guest house where I had booked my stay, I was curiously unaware of what I would soon face. When I arrived at B&B @ Reen's I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure whether it was the warming welcome of its caretaker, the distinctive cleanliness of the property or the facilities at my disposal, maybe it was a mixture of all three points, but I remained unaware of only one thing; that I would soon face even more pleasant surprises. I found my room to be sizeable and comfortable. Leading into summer it was quite warm even at night, so the air conditioner which was in good working order was very highly appreciated to enable me to sleep comfortably. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom which is most important to me and the room was cleaned daily with linen and toiletries changed every third day. I was surprised to find the soap was changed after three days, a practice I have never experienced at any other hotel anywhere in the world. I made such a remark to the owner who advised it is their standard practice, for promotion of better hygiene and guest convenience. Breakfast was provided every morning and I was able to nominate a time each day prior for the next breakfast. A variety of breakfasts were provided over the three weeks I stayed and each one was equally as delicious as the others. The caretaker's sister who prepares the breakfast unfortunately is not skilled in making dosa (possibly my favourite) so she declined to attempt making these, but that certainly did not detract from the hospitality I received. The two resident dogs are included in the home environment and as a lover of dogs I enjoyed having them around and befriending them. They also serve as guard dogs which helps to emphasise a high sense of security at the property. I have read other reviews on this property including one in which the reviewer comments on Reen's habit of incessant conversation. Whilst I agree on this point I personally found his conversations interesting and intelligent, a reflection of his own qualities, and I enjoyed some of the topics very much. He certainly is not restrained in sharing his opinion on volatile topics such as politics and religion but I admire those who have the courage to do so. My suggestion to those who do not have a similar appreciation as me to such discussion should make it known when it becomes an issue. For me, it enhanced the sense of hospitality and inclusion in a homely environment. The price was reasonable and definitely competitive against other places in Delhi. The standard of service and quality of accommodation was definitely worth the cost and comparable levels of such factors would be found only in much more expensive hotels. I have stayed in countless hostels, guest houses and hotels in India and B&B @ Reen's sits at the top of my list.
This is my second visit to BNB@ Reens along with my family. This one is conveniently located at Model Town with markets and metro station nearby. The rooms are cosy and very comfortable with facilities of TV, A/C and attached bath. There is a Kitchenette with provisions for preparing Tea or Coffee. Mr. Reens and his sister are very friendly and make you feel comfortable and at home. They serve delicious breakfast and we all loved their tasty stuffed parathas. Do not miss the breakfast at Reens. Nowadays there is also WiFi connectivity available on request and one can avail this facility to stay in touch with personal and business issues. All in all this is a lovely place and is a home away from home.
