im from mumbai & whenever i am in delhi,i prefer this hotel only.many times i stayed in this hotel and i found it BEST.good room service, near by to delhi station, neat and clean and on reasonable rate.i would give it 4 out of 5
We had a room on 4th floor, corner, just near the lift. Although the sounds and music in the lift was a little disturbing sometimes, the room itself was able to make up for all of it.
It had a good view of the road(had big windows), ample space to move around, a soft and fluffy bed, a nicely-working T.V. and all other necessities. But I have to admit, the bathroom was the major drawback. It was really small! You couldn't find space to stand and bathe!! The shower too worked with some problem.
BTW it's close to the station and all, has a really appealing appearance, best for a budget stay, has many eateries near it, and so on.
And all this was good for me after the experience I had of another hotel we stayed in before coming to this one, I don't remember it's name, it was somewhere in Paharganj(and I think is mentioned on this site, too).
But because of that what's-it's-name hotel, I learned a very important travel tip: NEVER EVER TRAVEL WITHOUT AT LEAST ONE ID-CARD OF ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR GROUP!!
Now go and enjoy your stay!
I found few reviews here, where many of the guests described this hotel as a hell. Though, I had a different experience. May be the reason, behind is I've stayed there in 'Executive Room', and I don't have any idea ,how the others rooms are. The room was clean, with refrigerator,LCD TV, a clean attached toilet, full working AC, sofa-set etc... overall a well decorated triple bed room. It was quite quiet during day-time too.
The negative point was, the Stuffs. They don't know the proper manner. They are helpful but not educated for modern-day's hospitality industries.I reached there in the early morning and was very tired.I had a bath and a cup of coffee and went to bed to sleep. I put the "Don't Disturb" board in the door and instructed the reception also, not to forward any phone-call to my room. But most ironically one room-boy knocked my door within 20minutes for the coffee-cup !!! It's not all, for dinner I've ordered a special dish from their menu-card and they told me, it'll be send to my room by next half an hour. But, from the conversation with the kitchen-stuff I doubted, that fellow must not know how to cook the dish. I was surprised when he admit that he can't cook the item. "Then why are you taking my order?"...no reply offcourse !!Also, every time you place a order for the food, they took atleast 30 to 45 minutes minimum, to serve it to your room.
Otherwise, I don't have any complain regarding the issue of room or cleanliness. Station is on walking distance. Even they allow me to use their computer for my personal work and didn't charge any extra cost for it.
My recommendation is, if you want a calm and peaceful stay nearby New-Delhi railway Station, you may stay in this hotel in their Executive Rooms, but, which are not road-facing.
we book the le cosmos on booking.com dose not look like photo i don't know how we stayed there please do not go i agree with honeychuu & alexeikarp dirty rooms
down the street there is a hotel Krishna stay there
even the locals say the le cosmos sucks
Agree 100% with alexeikarp. The other reviews must have been written by the owner, manager or staff. I have never ever seen such a disgusting hotel!!! The rooms were beyond dirty! I did not dare take off my clothes or to lie on that bed. I actually slept in a silk sleeping bag freezing almost to death since I sure as hell did not wanna touch any covers that were on that disgusting bed. I first had to scrub the toilet before I was able to use it. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting. The whole experience still leaves me wanna shower and scrub with iron wool. Also, the manager was very creepy. He insisted on entering our room although my boyfriend was in the shower. My bf finally had to more or less kick the guy out of our room. This might be very personal service for Indian standards, it is more on the creepy side for Europeans. Try to stay clear of this hotel!
