My favourite budget hotel in Delhi My favourite budget hotel in Delhi

by BagGammonBoss on November 18, 2016

I've been staying here since my first visit to India in 2001. The staff are excellent, and the rooms always clean, with immaculate white sheets on the beds, and a nice clean towel. The quality has definitely improved over the years, although the bathrooms could be better.

Expensive rathole full of cockroaches Expensive rathole full of cockroaches

If you wanna spent far too much money for far too little service that's the place to stay. My first room turned out to be a shared one - I had a mouse. After insisting on another room I got one mouse-free, at least, but with cockroaches almost the size of a mouse. Staff is unfriendly, far away from service-oriented and dishonest when it comes to agreements. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Seriously.

Rak Rak

Rak hotel is a very good option for low budget travelers. It is clean, out of the noise of the main bazar. Good shower and fan in the room. U need to pay extra 200 rupees for air conditioning (750/ 950). Staff is very friendly, and there is a nice roof top where u can order food and drinks.

overpriced, dirty and noisy overpriced, dirty and noisy

First the people are friendly, but that is all I experienced as positive at this place. As a longtime traveller in India I can ensure you this is the first time I made a revue because of a bad experience. I arrived in new delhi with fever and wanted to stay in a "not so bad" room. The price of the room was 950 rupees and usually for this you get a minimum comfort. Anyway I arrived with fever and a lot of luggage and thats why I took the room even if I realized immediately that this room is not worth what they charge here. The rooms are dirty as rooms for half the price, that means the room was realy clean only when it was new. For 100 rupees more you get in other places clean rooms with air condition. In front of the room is a temple and they start playing very loud music early (i guess 5am) in the morning. If you want hot water you have to go to the reception and ask to turn it on and than you have to wait for the water to warm up. NEVER AGAIN. To be fair I have also to mention that wifi works very good. My recommendation is clearly to stay away from this place. It would be a budget stay if the price would be the half.

Reliable, friendly.. Great place to stay Reliable, friendly.. Great place to stay

Every time I arrive in Delhi off the plane I head for the RAK International, a place I've stayed many times over the last 10 years..I can rely on this hotel to provide a pain free easing into India and city life, & a fairly short walk to the railway station to book tickets for the journey onward! The rooms are what you'd expect from a budget hotel .. they are good value, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.. There's a small restaurant on the top floor, good for early morning tea and toast with a good view on the street below for people watching! I'm there next month and looking forward to it.. ;)

Demo Trip Take a look at the rooms. The one in the third floor with round bed is pretty comfy and more quiet and close to the balcony!

Demo Trip Check the room for cleanliness especially in the toilet before deciding on staying in it

by nilmadole on March 4, 2013

Demo Trip The rooms on the top floor were very quiet. Might want to specify a quiet room as there is a fairly busy motorbike cut through/back alley running past the hotel.
